Wait, you think W/L record determines skill?
While it doesn't necessarily determine one's skill, it at least gives you somewhat of an idea as to whether or not they're worth a damn.

I'd rather fight someone who's 400/100 than someone who's 4294/3829.

W/L means less than nothing so long as you can just use TrueSkill instead.

In Ranked I have waaaaay more wins than losses.

But in Player matches I have much more losses than wins.

The reason is Im more willing to rematch people who beat me than most people I play, given they usually leave after they lose a couple times. So in Player matches where I can rematch, I naturally lose more.

Even though I have a better record in Ranked, my TrueSkill is higher in Player matches because it takes into account most my loses are repeats against very strong players.

Obviously, you should be using TrueSkill, as its a better measure and cant be as easily manipulated as W/L ratio.

Umm. thats a difference of 300 and 465. Plus the 400/100 record is fairly new, thus making you a noob hunter.. keepo

How does it make me a "noob hunter"? Obviously the person who has a 4:1 ratio is doing better than the person who barely has a 1:1 ratio. If they're "fairly new" and keeping that kind of a record, it would seem they know more of what they're doing than the person who loses almost as often as they win.

You can ask anyone here that's played me, I am by no means a "noob hunter" or anything close to that.

I'm not even remotely bothered by it. There was just no indication that you were joking, is all. *shrug*

eh… randoms are better on PSN, TYM members are better on XBL. just my observation so far.
The only random on PSN I've come across that has given me an absolutely hard time is Shinra Bahamut. I believe that's his name, anyway. Pretty much everyone else is free to Doomsday and Batgirl.

I've only lost roughly 40 games out of the 600~ or so I've played on PSN. I know 640~ games isn't a lot to gauge by, but still.

I don't look at records , I only pay attention to true skill rank because that's something you can't boost for :p

I generally do the same for XBL. But on PSN, they have a points system, so I look at their record more than their points.
