i'm just giving you info on the three tournaments michaealangelo won. these are all legitimate facts that i'm posting. and i'm not trying to downplay kabal. i'm just giving you an example of some characters gaining more tournament results due to the player. how good a character is is completely seperate from how they are seen in tournament. kenshi didn't have to win a tournament to be known as a character that stood right behind kabal and neck to neck with cyrax. same thing implies with injustice mmh and zod. just because green arrow has won more tournaments than those two doesnt mean green arrow is god tier

tuournament results = more about player

I'm not mad about Zod at all. I agree with most of what Theo said, because guess what? He actually used game mechanics and reason to back his statements, not arbitrary tournament placements.

I guess I carry more of a heavy weight with winning. It's w/e at this point.

It's not always about the tools of characters or how they come into play competitively in absolutes though. Denzell has enough in the bank to solidify himself as the best Cyrax player and only made use of a fraction of Cyrax's arsenal (at least compared to the shenanigans Maxter, J360, Han etc. were famous for). And he only used Cyrax for what, the last 10 months of MK9's main tournament life?

Detroit arguably had superior execution to REO in regard to Kabal and his accolades don't come close. No disrespect to either player.

It's all a subjective argument with many more examples, especially in this already clusterfuck of a thread lol, just clearing that up though.

112 on knockdown cross up teleport

112 mb orb on block teleport crosses up because orb is delayed slightly on block so the timing is like a regular orb on block

non tech rolled martian push and pillar can be a cross up if timed
non tech rolled back 1 3
blocked orb can be a crossup teleport

jump 3 on block and jump 2 vs certain characters

mb phase charge teleport is an ambiguous 50 50 teleport

overhead teleport after overhead teleport lol kinectic balding knows them all he is only 13

Yes, but in a balanced game there's a way past it.
The normal flow is zoner throws fireballs, non-zoner blocks them and walks forward in between. Zoner tries to vary timings to make this harder, non-zoner gets heavy advantage if he makes it in.
Against Zod once you start getting close he can push you back to full-screen for free. If he had to hit you with a combo to put you back at full screen, well ok, that's one thing. But to be able to push you full screen when you block is just stupid.
