It's dumb when a move is safe from certain ranges when it would otherwise be unsafe, imo. Especially a full screen combo starter.

But it's a pretty common aspect in fighting games.

If you don't get a full punish he's still pretty negative, see what you can mix him up with.

Cool. So the only way I can punish that stupid kick from full screen is if I have meter?
At full screen the heavy version is punishable on reaction with a neutral jump. Depending on if jago lands in frong below or behind determines the punish. As orchid if he's in front heavy kick from neutral jump. Below you the medium kick is reliable. If he goes thru your jump and lands behind you just land and punish with a fast poke starter.

You can't let jagos scrub you out with spamwind kicks.

You can also try options on block. If you read a jump back dash in and punish.

It's annoying at first but it's not going to lose you a match unless you are getting hit and full combo by it. Even if you get anti aired by it remember it's just a bit if damage and not a hard knockdown.

To be fair, it makes sense from a mathmatical standpoint.

In all theses scenarios, Jago's fireball does not exist. Thoughts?

If you see a fireball your not trying to neutral jump punish it. I said if you see the wind kick. Are u saying fireball into wind kick or something?

Not sure how fireball changes the punish but I was in the same situation for a while. It's annoying but with time your going to figure out ways around it.

Jagos should not ever win a game with just fireballs and wind kicks.

Your advice only addressed a single scenario. Naked, full screen wind kicks. I asked what you do when you enter the real world of jago also has fireballs. Your answer appears to be "well, then you eat the wind kick and pray you have one of the characters that can punish it." The second part of which is the crux of Acid's vid. Most characters can't without meter, some can't at all.

Block them and apply your offense. That scenario will only happen when Jago is at full screen away. After the heavy windkick gets blocked he loses all momentum. If you can't get a clean punish atleast it is your turn to apply offense. I don't see ANY reason to nerf the heavy windkick, a move that can be seen from miles away after a fireball and will only hit you if you decide to press buttons after the fireball while clearly seeing the windkick coming, which after both are blocked Jago loses all momentum and in some is full combo punishable. Please lets let balancing to the game developers. They actually know what they are doing.

So much bad information...

Heavy Windkick does not need a nerf. So what if you can't always punish it? It's either a free blockstring for you or Jago's right in front of you so the problem of having to worry about full screen Wind Kicks solves itself.

But lets not pretend the move is easy to blow up with a neutral jump either. A good Jago will ALWAYS cover his full screen Heavy Windkick with a Fireball. If you can nuetral jump punish a wind kick, you are not playing against a good Jago.

I get what your saying now. I play orchid and I'm unable to punish it. I just don't have an issue with full screen wind kick with or without fireballs.

Idk. It's not putting you in a terrible situation to be forced to block though. I had a dislike for it early on but I'm used to it now and there are a lot of other things that bother me far more than jago and wind kick.

After a while you will figure out your own way to deal with it.

And to the other poster I'd do play good jagos abd good jagos don't Yolo wind kick that's mainly the same guys dragon punching after you block it lol
