Injustice community needs GGA 16 bit as a commentator for MLG (pending Anaheim confirmation)

i like bits commentary and all but hes not esports at all. if we cant have him screaming OH SHIT and popping off its not worth it.

i personally would like to see ultradavid or arturo with another person

Reading some of these posts you'd think 16 Bit has no control over his own actions. You really think the guy is incapable of filtering himself?

Did you even read his post? He's not questioning Bit's ability to control himself, he's questioning how exciting Bit can be if he has to filter himself.

Yeah my bad. I still don't necessarily think not being able to curse = not being hype. I think 16 Bit is intelligent enough, and has enough charisma and personality on the mic to be hype without swearing. E-sports commentating doesn't mean you're not allowed to be hype.

Listen to 16 Bit commentate top 8's at majors, he's pretty damn good on the mic without being his uncensored KTP self.

I agree with this. 16-bit and Brady have always been my favorite duo on commentary. Both are very hype and have a lot of knowledge. Id also like too see them both compete though. I also think its important for our scene to have good commentators for our first MLG event. TTG needs to be in on it somehow also.

@GGA 16 Bit is so godlike on the mic. It would make the event soooooooooooooooo much more hype.

@GGA 16 Bit is one of the NRS gods, he should commentate, dude is hype and I'm sure he's smart enough to commentate professionally.

My second vote goes to @UltraDavid, he's awesome, we need a face everyone knows in the gaming scene, he's professional, knowledgable and hype.

The arguments questioning his ability to "be professional" I believe are wrong. Like anyone else, he does what he has to, when he has to.

I have to agree, it isn't hard going from "grass roots to esports commentating" lol. Tom brady has done it, why can't 16 bit?

Hate to be that guy, but most of the 16 bit commentary I remember involves an awful lot of shit talking and just shouting as loud as possible. Considering I'll actually be watching this and not competing, it's probably a no from me for 16 bit. If 16 bit can actually turn down the screams, bias and trash and delivery consistent "professional" commentary then maybe, but if you're all rooting for him for those reasons then please god not at MLG. Also, I want to see 16 bit's Catwoman on stream.

From what I've seen, my choices would be Tom Brady providing he's not being emo (if he's not competing then there's no risk of going out early) especially as he's done MLG before and handled it really well, DMS who's been fantastic and can sell the MLG suits with ease (was it KIT he was suited up?), and Sabin who can also be incredibly professional on the mic while still sounding hype. Those 3 on rotation would be great, with TTG doing hype on-the-side interviews (yes I love TTG's style - his personality comes across as incredibly excited rather than slightly aggressive).

edit: even if you did a colou and play-by-play pairing (with 16 bit being the colour commentator), I would still worry that he will just end up shouting over everything. This is not professional wrestling, and even then those commentators know how to delivery story bites without being overbearing.

However, I'm upset Wonder Chef wasn't mentioned. He is one of the best commentators I've ever heard on stream, and he can follow the pace of the game nicely and professional. Both @GGA 16 Bit and @EGP Wonder_Chef at SCR made a great team.

I voted no because I'd rather see him compete and represent his skill set and abilities with catwoman. I do agree that his commentary is one of the best but I don't know if 16bit would rather do that or have the chance of winning a MLG title.
