We, the NRS Community, are evolving as a fighting game community. Dare I say we see the need for a structured environment with rules, regulations, structure, etc more than any other fighting game community. We understand the need for grass roots events, but we also grow tired at the lack of structure at these events because of how they need to stay accessible to even the most casual and amateur player.

We don't have any resentment towards E-Sports, we actually embrace it. We see MLG and realize that this is the future if fighting games are to succeed in E-Sports. If you were to put Injustice: Gods Among Us in the MLG Pro Circuit, we would support every single MLG event.

We thank you for the opportunity you gave us with Mortal Kombat. We would love the opportunity to show how much we have grown since then.

False, and no... THTB does not "get it"..

Neither of you guys "gets" that the figureheads are unhappy with the lack of rules and structure and are vocal about it which gets seen as "drama" by guys like you and THTB. Should MLG adopt the game there would be no issue because the issues stem from the lack of professionalism of the event itself, not the lack of professionalism of the competitors.

MLG provides the professionalism of a structured league with rules and regulations as well as a QUALIFIED staff to run the event. This eliminates the issues that the figurehead members of the community have with the grass roots events.

You mean organizers like bobsmack who got exposed as a liar in the thread where pig posted the q and a he had with him?

as a total newbie who has limited exp in this community... i kind of agree with what jonitti is saying. i've seen the countless bickering, drama, pop offs, and hate between the pro players. it is excessive compared to other communities and intimidates some of us shy folk from participating.

I have to agree with both but you arent helping. This all can be discussed in a separate thread. Now someone like Adam or Sundance will see on the first page of comments and think that our community wants to boycott events if we dont get our way and that is completely untrue. Also most of this drama would have nothing to do with MLG anyway because our community didnt have any of these issues while MK was at MLG.

I mentioned this to Pig that we all should get on Gamebattles.com and start competing with each other which is free of cost. I feel like if we get on there as a community and start setting up matches between each other and really increase the activity over there MLG will have to notice us.

I think this would be a really good start to head in that direction because it would prove our worth IMO!

If you can get this done Brady this entire community will be in your debt. MK at MLG was beyond hype. I hope this dream becomes a reality! :)

Honestly, it might be for the best if MLG first added Street Fighter or maybe even Marvel....just so that they can get something closer to the numbers that they would like to see. Those games get the more viewers out of any of the other ones, including Injustice.

And then, once MLG became more comfortable with SF or Marvel, THEN that could possibly pave the way for other fighters (Injustice, etc.)

I'd welcome MLG but he's been saying stuff like that for a while about Injustice. Now we have SF and KI as competition as well...

KI maybe, but I'm pretty sure SF isn't even in the conversation. Aside from the fact that the community has gone out of its way to tell MLG to stick it, Capcom seems like they've gone independant with the whole operation at this point.
