Dear MLG,

We, the NRS Community, are evolving as a fighting game community. Dare I say we see the need for a structured environment with rules, regulations, structure, etc more than any other fighting game community. We understand the need for grass roots events, but we also grow tired at the lack of structure at these events because of how they need to stay accessible to even the most casual and amateur player.

We don't have any resentment towards E-Sports, we actually embrace it. We see MLG and realize that this is the future if fighting games are to succeed in E-Sports. If you were to put Injustice: Gods Among Us in the MLG Pro Circuit, we would support every single MLG event.

We thank you for the opportunity you gave us with Mortal Kombat. We would love the opportunity to show how much we have grown since then.

Sincerely:
The NRS Community

although i would love for mlg to pick us up, if we want to be taken seriously we have to be more presentable. with all of the bullshit drama that has been going on between event organizers and all, it wouldn't be surprising if bigger entities like MLG wont take us seriously.

Its grass roots.. Ever go to a pick game of basketball? Kinda bullshit next to the NBA yet people still take NBA basketball seriously.

There is no way to phase out the unprofessional aspect of grass roots events. The answer is to get the game in a structured league where pros can be professional. Grass Roots events can still have their "wet and wild feel" while pro players and those aspiring to be pro players can compere in a professional league with rules, structure, etc.

if you want to be treated like professionals the community has to act like professionals instead of doing childish things like plan boycotts for events without talking to the event organizer about their issues.

If this community really wants this to hapen...more than a few guys need to tweet that message to the MLG co. Big numbers are gonna have to happen. I think nearly 500 ppl already retweeted his SF4 message. Match theirs and this may be taken into consideration.

A lot of problems would disappear if MLG stepped in. The structure alone would fix a lot of problems.

what does that have to do with us as the players being professionals?
because you're blaming the players for to's messing up, If To's fuck up big like they did at FR people will speak. On the boycott thing, who ever you are referring to boycotting/planning, people(s) who do this do not represent a entire community. 1 person does not represent the whole community. And Why are you being so negative? Stay positive.

Have you seen other games at MLG/other eSports events? Not only is there drama off the pads there's drama at the event/during matches.

My memory might be a bit hazy, but at the end of the day: all of the drama that we've been seeing lately.....hasn't it really been about the same amount of drama that we had during MK 9 when MLG decided to support it anyway?

I would love for MLG to pick up Injustice. I was an idiot for not going to MLG Columbus for MK 9. That was practically my backyard....

Tbh, Nitti still brings up a good point. Things like that do reflect back on us, especially when it's the more powerful voices of the community doing things like that. I want MLG to pick up IGAU really bad, but we can't go about the exact same behavior we have been.
THTB gets it.
