Finally, the source added an interesting bit of information regarding the Boba Fett spin-off film which Disney plans to pursue following Episode VII's release, in 2018. The source claims that the "Boba Fett" we'll see in the spin-off film will explain the origins to the Boba Fett from the original Star Wars trilogy - one that will render the origins explained in the prequel trilogy useless. See why:

"To counter-act the prequels, the Boba Fett spin-off movie planned for 2018 has an interesting twist pitched by Episode VII writer Lawrence Kasdan: the spin-off will start with a complete stranger killing Boba Fett and taking his armor, starting a Man-With-No-Name bounty hunter tale. So: someone kills the Boba Fett from the prequels and takes his armor and name. One this is for certain is that Kasdan didn’t like the prequel and wants no Bobba Fett Clone in the spin-off film."

A Boba Fett who isn't really Boba Fett? Seems odd don't you think? But at the same time makes sense, since then they could use any actor to play the role. It could also explain why Boba Fett doesn't have an accent like the original Fett did in Attack of the Clones. Latino Review is also claiming that Joe Johnston is being eyed as a potential director for the Boba Fett movie.

Now, keep in mind, these are merely rumors contradicting more rumors. These "inside sources" could me nothing more than a gimmick for these sites to bank on the traffic articles like these can generate. With two sources claiming to have "insider info", which contradicts one another, it certainly makes us raise an eyebrow.
As an addition to that last part, the actual creator of Boba Fett (director of Captain America, Joe Johnston) has mentioned numerous times how badly he wants to make a Boba Fett movie, so regardless of rumored specifics it would seem like we can expect at least something to come out within that time frame.

All seriousness, i'd really like to see some of the comic book/novels used as source material for the new SW movies. But this might work, I dunno, i'm still kind of indifferent right now to all the stuff with Disney.

You guys, why was darth vader so much more invincible in the empire strikes back? In star wars he wasn't displayed on screen as this guy who could only be beaten by a true jedi knight. Han solo even almost kills him at the end. It's only by a slight chance that he survived. But in the empire strikes, they act as if luke is the only person in the world who can kill him.

Actually, it's not Han who almost kills him...

You gotta think, Vader is the strongest force user at the time, and with that being said there's what? A three year gap between a New Hope and Empire? Sith/Jedi constantly train to grow stronger with the force. Luke is the best hope they have to stop Vader in Empire. If he would have just stayed to complete his training, he wouldn't be walking around with a robotic hand.

What is this thread even about?
About a Star Wars spin-off film starring Boba Fett, the legendary bounty hunter! This thread is in the Off-Topic Discussion forum, so it's allowed to exist.

I'm sure my younger brother will be excited to hear about this film being made! I don't like the twist that the rumor proposes; I'd be completely fine with having a different actor playing as Boba Fett, and I don't need an explanation as to why Boba does not have an accent in the original trilogy when Jango had one in Episode II.

Another random star wars question, in return of the jedi, luke seems to choke the gammoreans with the force, but does he kill them?

There's a lot of speculation around this question. It's not really known if he kills them or not, but if i'd have to guess, I would say he just put them to sleep to get into Jabbas throne room quietly. Bib Fortuna shows up and he uses mind trick on him to seek an audience with Jabba without bringing all the gangsters down on him at once, so I guess you could say he incapacitated the Gamorreans.

The shooting script also says this "Luke raises his hand and points at the puzzled guards, who immediately lower their spears and fall back. The young Jedi lowers his hand and moves on down the hallway."

Yeah, I wish the script went into more detail about it. I always thought it was a bit dark if it was true that he killed them that way. I didn't think he killed them until I started thinking about it. The only offensive force spell/power shown on screen up until then is the force choke power. And every time vader uses it to kill someone they grab they're throat and struggle for air and then die. The gammoreans seemed to display the same actions. It grabbed it's throat and paniced, and then just sorta went limp.
