As an addition to that last part, the actual creator of Boba Fett (director of Captain America, Joe Johnston) has mentioned numerous times how badly he wants to make a Boba Fett movie, so regardless of rumored specifics it would seem like we can expect at least something to come out within that time frame. Finally, the source added an interesting bit of information regarding the Boba Fett spin-off film which Disney plans to pursue following Episode VII's release, in 2018. The source claims that the "Boba Fett" we'll see in the spin-off film will explain the origins to the Boba Fett from the original Star Wars trilogy - one that will render the origins explained in the prequel trilogy useless. See why:
"To counter-act the prequels, the Boba Fett spin-off movie planned for 2018 has an interesting twist pitched by Episode VII writer Lawrence Kasdan: the spin-off will start with a complete stranger killing Boba Fett and taking his armor, starting a Man-With-No-Name bounty hunter tale. So: someone kills the Boba Fett from the prequels and takes his armor and name. One this is for certain is that Kasdan didn’t like the prequel and wants no Bobba Fett Clone in the spin-off film."
A Boba Fett who isn't really Boba Fett? Seems odd don't you think? But at the same time makes sense, since then they could use any actor to play the role. It could also explain why Boba Fett doesn't have an accent like the original Fett did in Attack of the Clones. Latino Review is also claiming that Joe Johnston is being eyed as a potential director for the Boba Fett movie.
Now, keep in mind, these are merely rumors contradicting more rumors. These "inside sources" could me nothing more than a gimmick for these sites to bank on the traffic articles like these can generate. With two sources claiming to have "insider info", which contradicts one another, it certainly makes us raise an eyebrow.
