Man lag isnt even that bad. Most will just use it as an excuse as to why they lost or to quit a session to stop losing.

There is lag offline too when you have monitors and converters all affecting your inputs.

The game is playable as long as frame rates stay consistent. Just adjust to lag and input sooner.

Perhaps they get tired of playing you after about 10 games? Or just tired of playing in general? In my opinion, someone giving you 10 or more games online is nothing to turn your nose up at. I'm lucky if people play me longer than 3 games, winning or losing...and my connection is good enough.

The problem is when you get that glued to the floor feeling and j2 or j3's won't come out unless you mash it immediately after jumping...this game has really nasty lag with people who have shitty connections. I played a couple dudes who have told me they're playing on a cell phone hot spot or wirelessly on DSL. It's not IGAU's netcode, it's the "welfare internet" that's out there.

Thats exactly it. Online has proven it breeds strong players. Maybe some dont care about online as much, but this lag excuse shows that they obviously DO care and are just salty that they can't run it back.

I think you misunderstand. I didn't play the game once or twice online throughout a couple of months. I played nearly everyday online for the first couple of months. If that isn't enough time to form a opinion, then I don't know what is. "Several times" was misleading, my bad.

You know, I really can't complain.

I've played M2Dave, Pig, AK Saltface, AK Cyrusstrike, AK Harold, Runway Mafia, Max Intensity, Whenever I actually asked them in private to play me.

Even Wound would have played me, had he not been an XBox only guy.

Online has treated me pretty ok as far as getting matches with people go.

Now, to be clear, I've been bodied by ALL of them, but that's hardly the point.
