What's new

We have an online mode that's better than MK9. When are we actually going to use it right?

Good stuff. I wish my Tekken Community would get a clue. I see similar problems and more in just about every community these days.

Maybe if you don't have the matchup experience.

This thread is quickly becoming into an online warrior proving ground vs offline players.

My post isnt an online vs offline. It's mocking the people who are turning it into one.

Both can produce great players and both can produce shit players.

Dont know if this would help but I played @Qwark28 online in a ft5 and we went 5- 4 him. His batman vs my wowo and if there was no lag I would of lost 5-1. Real talk

yea online is really good for learning... I play practically every day and I learn something new every time. It's good for match-up experience and building your base fundamentals. The way I see it is online is like a training belt, then when you go offline the belt comes off and you can really start playing the game.

Actually @Qwark28 im sorry i think i went 5-4 with someone else but i won't say who. You still beat me but the lag wasnt that bad for half the matches

100% love this thread I can't tell how many times I play a top player with a character I'm trying to learn or just understand the MU, and they just leave haha idc if the score is 22-7 just help the player gain knowledge in exp. I try to help anybody I play @EMPEROR PRYCE i never sent a message to anybody telling them to pack it up. Our game and community has a ego problem especially top players, on any given day can get blown up I can't wait till a Joker Main in master makes it in a top8 placing . I love this game but seriously we have the most morbid community

noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo :( my bad dude, but right now im in the middle of the ocean somewhere so my connection isnt going to be good enough. I'll just have to do what qwark does and use one of my many other options to get in games with top players......

In all seriousness I'll have time to play with you tomorrow. Just send me a PM here and I'll get back to you
This is your last chance, Arma. I won't let you break my heart twice

The only thing I disagree with is the netcode comment. INJ online gives me cancer.

But this is something I preach all the time. You HAVE to loss to get better. Yes it can/will be frustrating, especially if you get mopped up, but at least it gives you a reason to keep playing. You take that, learn from it, work on what you did wrong and then come back stronger than ever. That's life man.

I actually like losing. With the type of mindset I have, I want to be the best I can be, and if I lose to someone, then that's just an obstacle I'm forced to overcome. I wish other people would think like this. We'd have a much stronger community.
^^This

Also, online in the NRS community is srs bizns and has been so since MKD released... good lord it's been a dick measuring contest for a decade.

Slightly Off-topic, but theres feck all people to play on PS4 Injustice Europe thinking off grabbing myself a US Copy, anybody here from the US with a PS4 that has a good wired connection, just to test the lag mainly?

Regarding the top players, they actually will play with you and help you learn the game. When I first got Injustice I played with Theo and Ducky and got bodied like 50 games straight lol. and just last week Salt Face was in the TYM room playing anyone who joined the KOTH.

Some top players though are very sensitive to lag and won't play you at all unless you have perfect 4 bar connection with them. Feels bad. :(

This is in response to several players messaging me on how they cannot get any matches with top competition. It seems that when someone mops them up , they cant get any more games in because they are believed to be bad. This makes it nearly impossible for us to grow the offline tourney scene.

How can anyone learn like this? If someone gets mopped up, play they over and over. The funny thing about humans is... THEY LEARN OVER TIME! Kinda hard to learn if no one wants to play anymore.

I think I figured out why people are so salty. It's not because they lose, it's because they are frustrated because they don't understand. Its even more frustrating because they know that they will never EVER get to learn unless they fight it again IN TOURNAMENT. No wonder people get so angry.

I also think that the post-tournament "blow ups" lend to this which is why I'm against any more player bashing. It seems that after getting 9th, you were (and lets hope this stays in the past) believed to be washed up trash never again to win or place. So.. what happens? Those players go back online and seek out the non-washed up trash that are now believed to be unbeatable so that they can show they can still compete. But, in the meantime, we leave all those looking to learn out in the cold.

Online is not to compete. if you want to compete then I suggest you buy yourself a plane ticket and come to a tournament. Online is to help learn... see that word... "LEARN". Remember that learning takes time. You don't enter first grade and in a year leave with a College Diploma.

Btw I wouldn't always trust what the game says for people's connections. Sometimes if you press X on someone's name in the lobby their ping will change. It could say 2 bars then go down to 0, or 3 bars then go up to 4. At least that's what happens to me. I would always play someone first to see how the connection is. I've played people before with 2 and 3 bar connections and it felt like it was offline.

you know, it could be that the game just has more data to transfer compared to other fighting games like streetfighter4 or any 2d fighting game

Real talk post that's going to come across as dickish, but I'd rather speak my mind rather than agreeing just to look good:

Unless I'm friends or teammates with you, I don't want to play people who I think are worse than me. I don't think I'm on top yet. If I'm playing I'm doing it to learn MUs with the best and level up. I don't want to say playing a lower-level player is wasting my time but sometimes it kind of is. If I get on and have the opportunity to play a top player like Pig of the Hut or a lower level TYM poster asking for MU help like Tom Brady (jk) I'm going to pick Pig.

That might be different if I'm able to play like 4 hours a day but a lot of us aren't able to be on as much.
