The Callout

personally I dnt think anyone dominated the whole way in any year in mk9. In 2011, PL won evo, but REO won devastation and bit won SCR. In 2012, PL won evo, Detroit one Anaheim, REO won mlgs, cdjr won tournaments, etc. In 2013, DJT won evo, wafflez won final round, tyrant scr, curbo winter brawl, etc. I think in this game, there is definitely more competiton and we'll see more top players for sure.
First of all, I would like to point out you are one of the most rational posters here. Secondly, I agree. No one dominated the whole way through MK9, but in 2011 PL did win a lot as well as REO in 2012. With that said, you have to consider the people that couldn't travel as much as others. For instance, you and and brother. With Injustice, I'm not seeing the same name every other tournament. It's a lot different and we should question why that is. Is it the players? Or is it how different the game is from traditional fighters?

Lol I'm a recognizable nobody.
I know off the top of my head you didn't go 0-2, which is more than what can be said for some people's first tournament experience. As do other people here lol. I think if you keep attending and bring that confidence with you..you will do better and better, man.

thanks, when I'm actually serious on the forums, I try to be rational. also yeah that is a good question, is it the game or the players? we'll have to leave that up to our community I suppose.

This community needs to mandate that any of these callouts should be done on video like old school WWE style, you know back in the day.

Lord Brady was tormented by vanilla black adam and his endless safe divekick-backdashes to the point where people (PL) were counterpicking him even if they didnt really use the character. That specific combination was stupid and Lord Brady got a little carried away (as he can do) when expressing his happiness that the endless divekick-backdashes were over. So what? Most of the stuff Lord Brady says that annoys people is along this same line of reasoning and not really directed at anyone. Just seems like Wound thinks Lord Brady is an easy target and I hope this culminates in a money match because I would bet on Lord Brady.

All of you heard me call out Wound on stream. I'm sure many of you have been saying "wtf?" as this has been going on over the last few months.

It starts when Wound went on KTP and said one of the most arrogant statements that one yop player can say to another.. "Will beat him in ANY game even if its a terrible mu".. In laymans terms he was saying that he doesnt think im very good at anything.

He also has said behind closed doors some very arrogant things in general as well as blaming everything besides himself for losses. This was a big topic this weekend among several players.

Yes, I called him out for things. I did not call him out because I think he is a bad player. IMO, he is one of the absolute best players we have here. He however wants to beat me to prove that 1. I'm bad, 2. I cant beat anyone good, 3. that I cant win or place top at big events. Regardless of what happens, none of these statements are true and its a joke for anyone to think that they can back any of those statements.

My BIGGEST problem is that the guy 100% things I'm bad, says this ALL THE TIME behind closed doors but doesnt have the balls to say it publicly.

Wound thinks I dont respect him, I do.. However he wants to prove that Im down right terrible at this game. That is the WHOLE POINT in him wanting to expose me.

Any event you want to show what a shitter I am is fine with me. BUT.. just know that no matter what the result, it means neither of us are bad. Win or lose, you will never get whatever satisfaction you are looking for.

The guy will clearly not talk things out with me, so it results in this..

I'm still going to come to TYM and read tech/random stuff and will always attend events. However, i'm done making any posts or podcasts for a very VERY long time. I have such a renewed love for the game and my fellow players, I just want to be a nobody and play and level up. Super Excited of what the future holds for us!
Why can't you be a man about it and save it for PM? Why do you have to pop off during stream commentary? How is that any better than saying things behind closed doors, it's not like wound has any chance to respond to your insults while you have a microphone and he doesn't. And just to be clear I don't give a shit about your issues with wound I'm not here to defend him one way or another. It would just be really nice not to have to close the stream as soon as I identify that you're going to start screaming into the mic about your personal issues. The truly annoying part is you are damn good with the knowledge of the game and the commentary of the play by play of what's going on. And that's a real skill we often see new stream casters who fumble or get nervous or simply can't keep up with what's going on.

I do get it though some people love pop offs like yours and 16bits. But isn't that something you yourself complain about? Do you and PL not prescribe to notion of being professionals and having the FGC be taken more seriously? Watch some of popular MOBA's and how professional their commentary is. You'll see hype moments and excitement but there are never any personal HOLD DAT player X moments, it's people acting like professional with professional production values.

IMO this change is one of the many that can help the FGC become more relevant in esports. We saw a glimpse of it when MLG took on MK9 and I remember Tom taking his commentary positions a lot more serious then.

It was awesome of you to do a portion of this in the main event commentary. Real classy and professional like.
I think we need more of that kind of stuff. I don't know the back story 100%, but this community tries to force this lovey dovey b.s. and that holds the hype back.

You'd and your bro seem like chill dudes to hang with, when I had Twitter, your bro would tweet funny ass shit.

Don't patronize lol.
I was terrible and had no idea what to do. I can't get hype with fear of blowing out speakers
Wait, what? I'm not patronizing. I actually appreciated your play by play. Yeah, it took you a while to get a little comfortable, but at least you weren't yelling at the mic like a lot of other guys do. If you do it more often I'm sure you'll sound better and better.

I'm getting a bit tired of a fair few players all saying "I need to be on the mic, I should be on the mic for Top 8 etc." and then act like assholes.

It's getting old fast. More than a few times this weekend I was watching and a match is going on while certain commentators are just going on and fucking on about themselves, even during the hype matches!
I think we need more of that kind of stuff. I don't know the back story 100%, but this community tries to force this lovey dovey b.s. and that holds the hype back.
Nah man. Like the "story" and all is hype, and the rivalries are cool, but when you have two good players on stream in a match and the commentator is whining "oh well x said this about me but I'm awesome so...." that kills the hype.
