We aren't running AE at this event. Might run it at future events.

We already have 3 people bringing systems so they get dibs on the waived venue fee, but feel free to bring an extra one if you want to help the tourney run smoother. If one of them can't show up we'll waive your venue fee.

A friend of mine is actually traveling from that area to come to the tournament, I could ask him if he's willing to give you a ride. I can't speak for him however so no promises, he actually doesn't play fighters competitively so he's just coming to watch and generally be supportive of the gaming community. But if he's willing to I can get you in contact with him. Again, haven't spoken to him about it yet so don't take it as a guarantee.

As for the Metro the closest stop to me is Vienna, which happens to be the closest stop to the school, but for people who are metroing it there I'd be willing to carpool people from the metro stop to the school.

This tournament will start at 1 guys so please be on time. Our admin team really wants to start all the events at the time listed so please try and make it before 1 so you have adequate time to warm up before the tourney starts.

Beta and N0rdicNinja- I know I'm asking a lot but can you guys please try and get to the event by noon at the latest? I want to have adequate time to sort out the setups/logistics.

And hell yah we will Beta, in the past 6 years I've had friends come and go, hobbies change, girls leave me, job changes, etc. etc. But the one thing that has never once changed, is my dedication to the iron. It's always there to kick you the real deal.

if you get to vienna metro station. there is a bus that goes to GMU and back. once you get out or walk up the stairs from metro line, you can either walk to north or south exit of vienna metro station...... go to the north exit and there should be a GMU shuttle bus every 15-30 mins (should be free) on your left near parking deck

Yes, in fact we encourage everyone to get as much casuals before the tournament as possible. We'll also have the room till about 10pm so feel free to get as much casuals as you guys want after the tournament too.

EDIT: Lol despite being lost for a hr looking for the tourney and showing late
I was the guy wearing a black shirt.
I have quite of blast, I experienced the tourney atmosphere, and got Real offline experience/ knowledge.
Now i cant wait for the next local tourney to compete and meet such nice people
If you can make to offline tourney, go. You wouldnt be disappointed
One thing, the small tvs setup for mk feel like lags. I play in it and when i try to unblock after a projectile, and would still get hit :/ Afterwards i got use to it and could do all my bnbs :/

I did not catch this post until right now. Your dedication is commendable and admirable! I've only been at it for almost a year and a half, so far! We'll talk more on it next time we meet. I was all over the place today so I couldn't sit and talk for very long at a time, lol.



In regards to the video, as of this message, it is 3:14am, and I am TIRED AS FUCK. That being said, I will edit and upload them tomorrow instead of right now. I hope you all can understand.

I'll post more on the tourney later, probably in the results thread, which will probably be posted sometime tomorrow.

Not a problem at all Beta, you were being summoned left and right every 5 minutes it seemed. I have no doubt I'll see you at future events. Looking forward to those videos!

@Creepy - Sorry I wasn't reading the forum at all while I was at the tournament, I would have come and looked for you had I realized. Were you the guy that showed up for the casuals afterward? We actually had a decent turn out overall, it was a 16 player bracket. As for the delay I didn't notice one... Tekken got the projector because the people who organized the event are group of Tekken players, they call themselves VA Tekken Rage (VATR), so that was obviously the main event of the night. But I didn't particularly notice any delay using the monitors. Happy you made it out though man, offline is a blast isn't it?

I actually struggled slightly on the monitors. I could not land my bnb kung lao combo after a spin and I dropped other bnb combos as well. It's all good thoug, had alot of fun. Especially that 4 man tag fight. Good times
