So maybe instead of saying they lack "top tiers", you should reevaluate who is actually "top tier".

@EGP Wonder_Chef , are you saying they don't have any "top tiers" by some meta that is apparently no longer fully applicable?
Perhaps that they don't have any hype-Skype "21st spot Bane" list style of top tiers?
Maybe that they don't have any top tiers because of Bane's multiple "death MUs" and huge disadvantages that totally exist outside of theory?
Obviously if they had superman, BA, and the like (like I dunno... Kumite) then Bane would never win a local (despite taking 2nd in a major).


Does it really matter who is "top tier"? Like honestly, where the game is at now does having or not having these "top tiers" really make a difference? What it comes down to is this scene is constantly bodying out a lot of other scenes without needing them, so maybe your ideas are dated, your viewpoints flawed, and your tiers rendered meaningless. Real talk, I know I'm not a top player or even a middle or low player, but really does them not having top tiers take away from the fact that Catwoman took top 8? I think not.

To be honest I think the suffix in all IGAU-related convos should be "truly knows the matchup at a high level".

In Injustice it doesn't really matter what characters show up -- it matters what characters show up with players that know how to completely abuse their characters' strengths in matchups. You can't say "but Superman was there" or "But Black Adam/MMH were there" because to be honest, a Superman player who knows the ins and outs of say, the Bane or Hawkgirl matchup is going to play completely different than a good Superman player who isn't as prepared or doesn't have a clue what to do.

Other than that, you can have whatever characters you want to, and it won't affect the outcome. Just because one Grundy loses doesn't mean that Tyrant would lose in the same matchup. Likewise with Black Adams and Rico Suave, Batman players and Forever King, or whatever example you want to use.

Literally anyone is capable of being caught off-guard by something they didn't expect until they learn to deal with it.

Too true when it comes to fighting Bane. lol.

But even then, I know for sure that some of the top Bane players don't actually know the ins and outs of a MU fully and it costs them sometimes.

Its not an argument so much as a question. Does the absence of supposed "top tiers" really matter when its been shown time and time again that their position in the tier is ultimately irrelevant? The have some of the best players, and if a catwoman at the top level is giving a Bane trouble, that's worth more than 15 decent supermen because that is a damn good catwoman.

I'm just blowing him up for the fun of it. That being said though, I don't think its fair to blow up Jupiter for the character that he plays. I think MMH, gets overhyped way too much to the point that you can't even be considered a good player if you win with him, and if you lose, you're a fraud. The option select is too strong.

All im saying is if any other tournament player concentrated on MMH since day 1 and masterd him, they would be better than Jupiter aka #Fraud..

Hasn't Jupiter accomplished more with the character than REO in the same amount of time?

And Black Adam vs Bane is definitely not bad for Bane.

Reo has jumped around from character to character never trully sticking to one aka MMH.
He has not masterd him, but if hes taking injustice serious again.. he will get MMH down in no time and the community will see a real MMH #NonFraud

Superman vs Bane isn't either. In fact, most matches are definitely not bad for Bane.
According to the top Bane chart, at least.
