btw i really would like to see gameplay improvements from top tiers
too many errors from PL REO and the others

REO didn't do any of these <basic> gimmicks in a vs lao matchup
the cyrax switch was pointless and granted PL victory
again, as with tom brady, poor choices made by experts

pro players don't spam or monkey rush stuff
gosh
here it is
there's no randomness in strategies, only deception
a random midscreen spin (and really, after so many posts i'm tired of saying it) is a huge mistake because it's punishable and it should be right there!it's not strategic randomness it's BS

i answer yes, they're just above average level due to better knowledge of the game BUT lack of solid fighting games basics and this thread become the next thing closest to hell
or i say no, they won a tournament were the average level was worse than online ranked so they're good if compared to others

when i'll see a good, rational, analysis to counter my bashing well, i'll STFU
I'll take the flame bait just to expose your scrubby ass.
First you say REO and PL aren't really pros because they do a lot of "random things". Well I got news for you kiddo those random things you see are actually educated guesses they make after having conditioned the opponent.
Example: You saw REO spam those otg Sais, he wasn't just zoning to build meter there, he was actually conditioning PL to dash block and expect more sais. But then out of nowhere REO randomly dashes forward and throws PL or jumps on him. The reason why that randomness worked even though it was extremely unsafe was because it was unexpected and PL was already committed to dash blocking. Then that's not being random or making a mistake, it's being smart. More so than you because you didn't even understand what was happening on the screen.
But don't take it from me, after all I'm just a nobody. Listen to the beast Daigo explain just how wrong you are:
I know you're probably too lazy to watch all the 4 parts so I'll resume it here for you:
1. You can use projectiles and random pokes/random specials to test reactions and habits of the opponent.
2. No matter how good your reaction is, sometimes you have to anticipate your opponent's actions. But you can only do so after having downloaded your opponent or having properly conditioned him.
3. Sometimes being random is good because you show your opponent you can be unpredictable and are willing to do risky things. This makes the opponent more hesitant to approach you or press buttons up close. Being random can be a severe mindfuck to an opponent who is trying to "download you". Thing is, when you play against a very good player, the last thing you expect is them to do something terribly unsafe and stupid.
4. When you're even at health sometimes the best option is to do nothing and just block. Wait for a mistake or opening from your opponent. Why risk giving your opponent a life lead when you can just wait and see what he does next?
5. Sometimes when you know you're about to lose the round, it's better to try and build as much meter as possible for the next round instead of trying to make a dumb comeback and waste meter for nothing.
1, 2 and 3 are relevant to the current discussion.
So who is lacking "solid fighting games basics"? REO and PerfectLegend or this random phony Shura guy full of himself? I wonder...
Now I'm not saying REO and PL didn't make mistakes. Of course they did. They dropped a few combos, they dropped punishes and made a few bad calls etc. But then again so did Justin Wong, Filipino Champ, Poongko, Mago, Tokido and Daigo.
And that "random Spin" from PL was probably in anticipation of a D4 from REO. But then it was REO who conditioned PL to think he was always going to dash up and D4.
