Yeah if they had called it something else I probably would like it because I'm a sucker for zombies but the way they did it left such a bad taste in my mouth I don't think I'll ever be able to see it as anything but hot garbageBy itself, not a bad film. But with that title it does leave a sour taste that it's no where near as good as the book.
Biggest disappointments in No order
Elysium
Man of Steel
Oldboy remake
Kick Ass 2
Star Trek 2
Oh I forgot the new Hunger Games was fucking awesome. Maybe the only time I can think of where I enjoyed a movie adaptation more than the bookScary movie 5 was the worst movie of 2013. Without a doubt. Best movies for me were Man of steel, the woverine, this is the end, now you see me and we're the millers. Haven't seen the hobbit, american hustle or the hunger games yet.
Edit: forgot all about thor and iron man 3. These were two of my favorites as well. And fast and furious 6 was real good too except the one scene where vin diesel jumped across the freeway to catch michelle rodriguez.
Yeah it really was!American Hustle was a bit of a letdown. I thought it was gonna be great and it just wasn't. Really slow and boring and painful sometimes. It's not bad, it's just not as great as everyone is saying. Bale killed it though.
Now on the other hand, Wolf of Wall Street was incredible.
God yes! That film was a joke! That was last year? The Dark Knight Rises.
No, 2012, but it still sucked, so I'm making it apparent to those who are in denial still.God yes! That film was a joke! That was last year?
Loved the first Star Trek and Was really excited about MOS. Just didn't do it for me lol
Seriously!? Those are my two favorite movies of the year. To each his own I guess.
It happens, Iron Man 3 was a disappointment for me.Loved the first Star Trek and Was really excited about MOS. Just didn't do it for me lol
My thoughts exactly. Way overwritten, reminded me of Lucky Number Slevin and how ridiculously "clever" that film was. Blagh...Now You See Me - Might be the worst film this year by a mile for me. Cast of characters was to big for any 1 character to grow. End was beyond stupid.
just not my cup of teaYou are welcome to your opinion. I liked it a lot.
They are gonna have to make a sequel though, since the bald guy who left Riddick on that planet didnt die, and also Vakko is still living probably took Riddicks throne. As a huge Riddick fan, I was disappointed with the new Riddick film last year. Even though I'm grateful a sequel was actually made, I'd rather them actually put in time and effort to make a quality film. It was basically a shitty Pitch Black remake with a very slight hint of Chronicles of Riddick. Although, I did enjoy the movie and the experience, oddly enough. The theatre was amazing and was one of those ones that they bring you food and drinks and alcohol, and the seats were godlike. Plus, I had my friends with so it was awesome.
If you don't take the previous 2 movies into consideration or never saw them, as a standalone movie it's not too bad. You'll be a little confused but at least you won't be let down when it's not as good as its predecessors.
I read somewhere Vin said he'd keep doing Riddick films as long as he keeps doing Fast & Furious films. After Paul's death, who knows what the future holds. I agree though, they definitely made room for a sequel. They are gonna have to make a sequel though, since the bald guy who left Riddick on that planet didnt die, and also Vakko is still living probably took Riddicks throne.
