By itself, not a bad film. But with that title it does leave a sour taste that it's no where near as good as the book.
Yeah if they had called it something else I probably would like it because I'm a sucker for zombies but the way they did it left such a bad taste in my mouth I don't think I'll ever be able to see it as anything but hot garbage

Scary movie 5 was the worst movie of 2013. Without a doubt. Best movies for me were Man of steel, the woverine, this is the end, now you see me and we're the millers. Haven't seen the hobbit, american hustle or the hunger games yet.
Edit: forgot all about thor and iron man 3. These were two of my favorites as well. And fast and furious 6 was real good too except the one scene where vin diesel jumped across the freeway to catch michelle rodriguez.

Oh I forgot the new Hunger Games was fucking awesome. Maybe the only time I can think of where I enjoyed a movie adaptation more than the book

I have seen all that has been mentioned and without a doubt the worst has NOT BEEN MENTIONED!!! Fear not I will save you from the Complete Tourture That is "47 Ronin"

Just trust me and stay away, Infact I would say it is so bad that releasing the movie was an Insult to Samurai's ,the Country of Japan and anyone that remotely enjoys anything.

American Hustle was a bit of a letdown. I thought it was gonna be great and it just wasn't. Really slow and boring and painful sometimes. It's not bad, it's just not as great as everyone is saying. Bale killed it though.

Now on the other hand, Wolf of Wall Street was incredible.

As a huge Riddick fan, I was disappointed with the new Riddick film last year. Even though I'm grateful a sequel was actually made, I'd rather them actually put in time and effort to make a quality film. It was basically a shitty Pitch Black remake with a very slight hint of Chronicles of Riddick. Although, I did enjoy the movie and the experience, oddly enough. The theatre was amazing and was one of those ones that they bring you food and drinks and alcohol, and the seats were godlike. Plus, I had my friends with so it was awesome.

If you don't take the previous 2 movies into consideration or never saw them, as a standalone movie it's not too bad. You'll be a little confused but at least you won't be let down when it's not as good as its predecessors.

I liked Man Of Steel, Even with all the shortcomings. Everyone has the right to different opinions. Honestly if I have seen ten films this year I would be surprised.

I am looking forward to Captain America 2.

To be honest. I have 2 words for you all. And it has nothinng to do with films.

Breaking Bad.

Now You See Me - Might be the worst film this year by a mile for me. Cast of characters was to big for any 1 character to grow. End was beyond stupid.
My thoughts exactly. Way overwritten, reminded me of Lucky Number Slevin and how ridiculously "clever" that film was. Blagh...

(Haven't seen American Hustle, The Wolf of Wall Street, Her, Inside Llewyn Davis etc. yet since those aren't out here yet but anyway..)

Films I liked:
Upstream Color - Beautiful film and definitely the most unique I saw all year.
The World's End - Funny as hell, Edgar Wright is yet to disappoint. Granted not as good as Shaun of the Dead or Hot Fuzz but I still found it really really funny.
Rush - Good film, although I didn't like the clearly put-on voice by Frederick Zoller I mean Daniel Brühl. Make-up was fantastic.
Gravity - Can't really say anything that hasn't been said yet. Amazing experience.
Captain Phillips - Watched this one with very low expectations and I was pleasantly surprised.
Machete Kills - You've got to be in the right mindset for this one, fucking hilarious.
Blackfish - Great documentary on killer whales, SeaWorld etc.
Pacific Rim - Don't overthink the film, put your brain on the shelf and enjoy.

Films that disappointed me:
The Hobbit: DoS - Just very meh, still better than the first one though. I expected them to really step it up with the second movie but it was just meh.
Iron Man 3 - Very disappointing, didn't like it at all.

Thinking about it though mr smith chasing neo on a magic carpet whilst eating a curry would have comedy value.

They are gonna have to make a sequel though, since the bald guy who left Riddick on that planet didnt die, and also Vakko is still living probably took Riddicks throne.

I read somewhere Vin said he'd keep doing Riddick films as long as he keeps doing Fast & Furious films. After Paul's death, who knows what the future holds. I agree though, they definitely made room for a sequel.
