I'm buying in. Who wants to train?

I'm sold on this game.
I believe in it's design and it's potential.

Now with the holidays over I have some time to get to work and start training. I understand the engine and the mechanics, gonna start learning about character specific stuff.

Just wondering if anyone else here wants to train with me online or offline at GGA. Don't really know who plays seriously. But I'd rather grind with the guys I know over here then the bajillions of people I don't know on SRK.

I don't care if you body me or I body you or whatever, just playing to learn right now.

Doesn't Dizzy play? I wanted to play this really bad when it first came out, but I am totally over the hype at this point and might not even play a PC release.

Dizzy plays but I don't know how often they run KI at GGA I've kinda been away for the last while to study some other games.

Hitbox uses toodles cthulu pcb which I don't think has had a firmware update in a while. So I dont' see it working on xbone until something like cronus supports the cthulu board which they currently don't. Basically what I'm saying is you might be waiting a while if that's your plan. More than likely hitbox will just start making them with new boards rather than having an update for the old ones which means your best bet would be to buy a new hitbox when/if those come out or have someone custom mod yours which will probably cost you the price of a xbox one controller plus shipping and labor.

if you can get it to work for u that's fair enough dude.i tried it and it put me off buying.which Is a shame because ki looks super fun.

If nothing else I'll have someone wire in the pcb from an xbone controller. I have an extra I can part ways with.

Yeah probably the quickest and easiest way to get it done. You'll also have the least hassle for getting it to work. I do think the xbone controller is slightly more of a pain in the ass though as from what I can see it has 2 separate PCBs in it. Though it's probably pretty arbitrary for someone who is used to custom modding.

I have no idea how to play, but I wouldn't mind learning at GGA if thats ok with you. I'm sure that we could ask GGA HAN to get an xbox one set up

I'd love to go down there and play if there are people who want to play it.

Driving an hour just to sit by myself in the lab sucks though lol so I wanna make sure there's interest.

I saw Doc is doing a KI tourney this weekend. That's awesome.
damn shame i'm not ready to compete :(

I'll definitely play. You'll just have to give me some time in the dojo to learn the mechanics. After that though. I'll grind as many sets with you as you want.

Dizzy said he would be up for coming to GGA more often to play as well. It's just a matter of when you wanna start and wat days you wanted to do it.
