It is early in the game, so numbers aren't that necessary. But I'd like to know how other jagos approach matchups as of right now and I'd like tech to be shared if yall don't mind, alright enough talking, discuss!!!!!
hmm, not too sure as of right now, it is very early and there are more characters coming this season and for season 2. I think he is a very solid character and he will stay tourney viable. So is Jago top 5 , bottom 5 , or both?
It'd seem that way, he doesn't have any super dirty strength, but no glaring weaknesses either (like ryu of course).ALL CHARS, 5-5 VS JAGO, A VERY BALANCED CHAR.
air to air her. if she's gonna jump around all day you have to as wellI don't understand what I'm supposed to do when Saadira does jump in tech on me all day...any mu advice working for you guys?
KI has a 5 frame input buffer when in recovery frames, so you don't need to just frame like in NRS gamesLight Windkick Check: Light Windkick(LWK) is -2, and Light Tiger Fury(LTF) has a 2 frame start up and invincibility frames. So you can cancel your failed poke in LWK and then just frame your LTF to punish your opponent if they try a reversal attack; will beat out shadow moves.
Guaranteed 50/50 Set Up: Cancel pressure/poke into Shadow Endoduken(SE), then cancel again into instinct, then follow up with a low or overhead. Can be set up after a combo midscreen using a Heavy Windkick(HW) ender, into another HW, then cancel into your SE and so on.
Jago looked the coolest to me of the original 6 so I played him the first 2 weeks, but he seems the weakest due to not having an OP instinct or any really dirty shenanigans. Too honest for his own good.hmm, not too sure as of right now, it is very early and there are more characters coming this season and for season 2. it REALLY does suckJago looked the coolest to me of the original 6 so I played him the first 2 weeks, but he seems the weakest due to not having an OP instinct or any really dirty shenanigans. Too honest for his own good.
His back dash sucks too, lol
Jago could use some buffs lolJago looked the coolest to me of the original 6 so I played him the first 2 weeks, but he seems the weakest due to not having an OP instinct or any really dirty shenanigans. Too honest for his own good.

Well there's knowing the MU, but that doesn't always mean you can do much about it. After all, it's not like he has a shortage of options, and it's impossible to read them all.Jago could use some buffs lol
honestly the most dangerous thing about him is getting hit by a throw. for 1 bar and 1 correct mix up you can take 60% in a flash off of a throw. that's pretty bananas and makes his tick throw / counter hit stuff pretty scary
I honestly think that Jago seems at a disadvantage at this stage because literally everyone knows the match up if they followed any of the early footage or did the training mode (which I'd bet is a large majority of people)
HK wind kick is pretty great until you whiff one and then you die lolHeavy windkick destroys Orchid. Out prioritizes her all day
he reminds of ryu, nothing too flashy, but very solid so he is able to deal with all situations fairly well.Jago looked the coolest to me of the original 6 so I played him the first 2 weeks, but he seems the weakest due to not having an OP instinct or any really dirty shenanigans. A lot of his grab set-ups can be backdashed and wiffed punished. Doesn't a neutral jump 3 beat a lot of his wakeups?does anyone have any super secret tricks against Thunder?
I thought I had a pretty good handle on that match up but now that I'm getting higher in rank and starting to play level 20+ thunders it got much scarier.
I feel like I'm just constantly in a horrific 50/50.
throw a fireball? too scared he'll jump and land a 60% 1 bar combo
blocked some sort of blockstring from him? follow up shadow triplax beats everything but blocking and shadow command grab beats that.
knocked him down? wake up DP beats everything but blocking and shadow command grab beats that
correctly baited and blocked the DP? now you have to guess if and when he does the footstomp. fuck so frustrating.
and if you get knocked down good luck trying to get up holy shit
I'll have to check the neutral jump, I think it depends on what strength upprecut he does because the heavier strengths get a pretty far forward trajectory. I think a well timed cross up that hits right on top of his head will keep him in place.A lot of his grab set-ups can be backdashed and wiffed punished. Honestly I have yet to play some really good Thunders so I am not too sure...
1Light Sammamish1-8 UPP INV, 1-18 THR, 1-19 PROJ, 10-37 in airsomeone on the DH forum posted that Thunder is "helpless" on wake up without meter, and to just press buttons on him and rinse / repeat.
lmao, jesus christ...
though I would like to see the invincibility data on his uppercuts; I watch my shit pass right through them all the time
it really isJago sMP confirmed godlike against sabre
