Is Injustice too balanced to be hyped?

Injustice is one of the more balanced fighting games at this time, not the MOST balanced, but it's up there I think we all agree.

From everything i've seen from people getting hyped up at is that it's usually some terribly low tier or some mid tier character in a game beating down on the most broken god like tier in the game and somehow pulling it off.

For example MK had it's hype when we saw people beat down on Kabal or Kenshi with those low tier characters among the cast.

I know this community is not about UMVC3, but people find that game so hype because when you pull off an amazing win with mediocre characters against the most god like of teams there's always hype.

Aside from the hype of an amazing come back that Injustice rarely see's at this time Injustice has little to offer in terms of hype because it is still too balanced, it's also my theory as to why people are seeking out this new Kabal so we can scream when the low tiers pull off a super hype come back on them.

These are my view points agree or not Injustice is just not as hype to watch as we'd hope it would be.

For the most part though, the game is balanced.

Not as many as you stated on your list.

Low tier hero is always a factor for hype.

However, I think it has more to do with the actual top tiers just being really boring in general. They rely too much on heavy keep away, abusable specials, and linear gameplay. No one enjoys Black Adam or Superman keep away.

Kabal, Cyrax, Kung Lao, Sonya, Freddy are all much more interesting to watch then anyone in Injustice.

Kenshi can fuck off though, he is just the worst.

EDIT: Also, interestingly enough, in MK9, I think the most boring and bland characters to watch are actually the lowest tier heroes, Kano, Sheeva, Baraka. I mean you always want to cheer for them, but they are actually pretty boring to watch.

I think the game is pretty well balanced
You have a top 6 or 7 that i think everyone can agree are the top tier
Then you have everyone else pretty much. In terms of tournament viability Injustice is way more balanced than MK9

I blame the life bar system, there's fewer opportunities for both characters to be down to a pixel and engage in random shenanigans which in my opinion is one of the hypest things in the FGC

Like 9 or 10.

Most of which are like 4-6 so I don't see that as imbalance.

I think this is my favorite of the threads currently floating around TYM.

Bland sound track, bland character designs and combo system, no interesting WTF characters, the color of this game is god awful, come backs are near impossible, which just kills the hype.
