I'm trying to be edgy because I have my own opinion? Look. I've played FF7 twice. TWICE. I tried very hard to like it. However, I despise just about every aspect of the endeavor. The story is a mess and relies on deus ex machina, the materia system was terrible, the story had a lot of moments of "comedy" that didn't work for me, and most of the characters simply weren't likeable. Aeris, or "Aerith" is barely a character at all.

do yourself a favor and play ff9, best leveling and skill system of a ps1 FF game and in my opinion the best story. Also had the most colorful and beautiful world as well as interesting and different characters. the whole game was just awesome. I swear you wont be disappointed. Also.. not much grinding honestly, even if you run from 1/4 of the battles you get into, youll still be able to get through the game in a decent fashion.
