What's new

Introducing the Killer Instinct Dojo - Learn lessons such as Anti-Air, Cross-ups, Frame Data + More!

The Killer Instinct Dojo is an in-depth tutorial that guides players into the mechanics, terminology and lingo of Killer Instinct and Fighting Games in general. Providing basic to advanced tutorials, from teaching the player the core fundamentals of Killer Instinct's combo system to easing the player into more advanced techniques such as links, which are assisted by sound cues, the new Killer Instinct training mode that Double Helix has put together is something future Fighting Game developers should adopt for future titles. It not only provides an accessible route for newcomers but it refreshes the mind of veterans as well.

Additional features include, in game visual hitbox data with an replay option to view moves and matches to the frame.

Also, TestYourMight got a shoutout, thanks, Double Helix!

Okay, that training mode is very innovative IMO. It's breaking everything down to where even novice players can see how technical it can be to compete.

Something I would definitely need... I didn't know how frame data worked until R.E.O. made that video a while back. Props to him

This looks amazing -- they are really going the extra mile.

Hopefully makers of other games will also watch this and take notes, because this looks fantastic and will help more people cross the gap to becoming higher-level players.

This is probably good for the FGC as a whole.

Every fighting game ever made after this should have a Dojo Mode type of training that does essentially everything this one does.

Audio cues for manuals? That's awesome. It's going to effectively make it easier to gain muscle memory for performing them.

Does it matter?
Unfortunately, I won't be purchasing an Xbox One until the next Halo, but this is really amazing! This is definitely something I've been wanting to see in fighting games for the longest time.

I want to see some God damn Orchid gameplay already. She's already my main as she was in KI 1 and 2.
