Injustice Pals Random Discussion Thread V2

NoxiousDonny

"Cheap Grubber"
I don't really remember much of 3 and 5 tbh, I know I loved all the seasons up until like halfway through 7. I'm going to rewatch all of the seasons eventually later on, I was watching some clips from season 1 on youtube and realized how amazing the show really was. I do remember that I liked how season 7 started but as soon as he didnt kill hannah it kind of went downhill.. also the quinn/stripper story was stupid lol
I liked all of 7. I liked Hannah. Didn't like the Quinn storyline.

I have a small amount of hope that I will still like season 8, just less then the others. Maybe.

Welp villains month is done and here are my reviews for this week's issues I got-

Sinestro-9.5/10

This issue was really good at making you feel for Sinestro a degree. The narration was really unique and the look at Sinestro's backstory was very interesting. Really eager to see where Sinestro is and where he went

Parasite-8/10

This issue was fun if kind of on the dull side. I do like how they showed why Parasite is so eager to feed on Superman. It's a interesting direction for the character to go. The origin though? Eh...I found it really silly but not awful. Eager to see where this version of the Parasite'll go.

Bane-6/10

While fairly interesting the main problem with this issue was how much of an asshole Bane was. I mean he punched a little girl in the face....it's meant to be serious but I just laughed. The Blackgate breakout was nicely done and showed how crafty Bane is. I also like his design in this as well. However this issue just had problems with how Bane was characterized and for a character-centric issue that's really bad.

Man-Bat-8/10

I liked how this issue made Kirk Langstrom try to be a hero. It was an interesting way to go and I felt that seeing him descend into madness was interesting and tragic.

Killer Croc-10/10

I was NOT expecting to like this issue this much, but DAMN did this issue NAIL Croc and gave him something to be a symbol of. Croc representing de-evolving of anything including society was a genius move. This issue was very impressive and I'm really amazed at it.

Joker's Daughter-7/10

While surprisingly good this issue suffers from some....eh things. While thankfully Joker's Daughter is not actually the spawn of Joker instead she gets this name from wearing Joker's face which she
found in the sewers
, it all seemed to convenient that it happened to be there when she reached where she was going to. I also don't see the point in her acting like a mix between Joker, Harley, and Ivy. It was enjoyable though and the thankful revelation that her name is just a name makes me relived.

Doomsday-8/10

This issue was really good but not in the way it was supposed which leads to the main problem. Doomsday feels like a BG character in his own issue. While his few appearances and the prophecy surrounding him is very interesting...we don't get to see Doomsday much, and while the interaction between Kara and her father is fun...it's not what I'm expecting from a Doomsday issue, BUT to be fair to this issue what was in it was enjoyable and fun to read. Doomsday's few appearances did the job well but he should've been in his own issue more.

Secret Society-8.5/10

This is somewhat a case of a deceiving title. This issue would've been better labeled as "The Outsider" because the main focus is on The Outsider, Owlman, and Earth Three, and DAMN is what we see interesting. Seeing the
heroic Joker fight Owlman was enjoyable, and the explanation for why the Outsider looks like Joker is great.
. However the lack of the other members of the Secret Society disappoints me though.

Black Adam-9/10

This issue really surprised me with how effective it was. The issue mirrors what many Middle Eastern countries feel and hope to happen and that makes this issue more connected to the real world. Black Adam's appearance and set up as almost a legend were really done and I highly enjoyed it. Very eager for the role Adam'll play in Forever Evil.

Metallo-9.5/10

While the design of Metallo is eh the rest of this issue is fantastic. Metallo's POV is very good and I love how they made you feel semi-sympathetic for Metallo. The issue was really well handled and I'm excited to see how Metallo'll go from now on.

Seems like a lot of good stuff. Is Black Adam actually Black Adam or Billy?

My reviews for last week-

Lex Luthor-10/10

A perfect issue that showed off how sadistic Lex could be and how far his obsession for Superman goes. This is classic Lex Luthor and shows off all the sides of his personality perfectly. I was really impressed by this issue

Anton Arcane-10/10

Another amazing issue. Arcane's issue really showed off how creepy and how sick Arcane really is. It gets pretty squicky during many moments and the issue has some great horror movie-esque moments. The art in this issue was really good as well.

Penguin-10/10

After Harley and Freeze's issues it's better that certain villains stay the same, and thankfully Penguin is one of those villains. Virtually unchanged Penguin is the same character he has been throughout the years. I also really do like how this shows that Penguin's a force to be reckoned with.

The Rogues-9.5/10

Damn was this an EXCELLENT issue. Really enjoyed this and this really showed off how well the Rogues work together and truly how close they are. With the excellent character development in this issue the only thing keeping this from being a 10 was some melodramatic lines but overall a nearly perfect issue.

Clayface-9/10

With a lot of depressing stuff this month it was nice to get pretty much a breather issue. This was what Clayface accomplished well. It was a fun issue to read and I really enjoyed it. I also liked how Clayface seems to be to a degree inspired by TAS Clayface which is always a plus for me.

Ra's Al Ghul-9/10

After staying in the shadows for the New 52 Ra's finally gets unveiled in this issue and it didn't disappoint. I also had to love how
that the CSA sent someone just to appease Ra's, and showed how they feared him.

Deathstroke-8/10

This issue was pretty good despite some really bad art in the beginning and a bit of an odd feel. I do like Deathstroke's somewhat revamped origins which made me feel for him, and I like how he was characterized in this. Also this issue is interesting by proposing that
DS' wife possibly got the same treatment that he did.

Cheetah-8/10

Cheetah is often called a boring issue and that's usually because she has a really bleh backstory. This issue seeks to correct that and it does do the job......mostly. However this issue still remains somewhat dull and boring and I still didn't care much for Cheetah. Interesting and fun but not really as good as other stuff that came out that week.

Scarecrow-6.5/10

This issue's main problem was that it wasn't really a Scarecrow issue. More that it was setting up for Arkham War. Sure it had some good insight into Scarecrow's mind to a degree but Scarecrow was more a connecting thread in the issue rather then the main character. This disappointed me but the issue besides this wasn't awful. The conversations that Scarecrow has with the likes of Riddler, Ivy, Croc etc etc were interesting and fun to read but in a Scarecrow issue it's a major disappointment.
