Breaking Bad (SPOILERS!)

RiBBz22

TYM's Confirmed Prophet/Time-Traveler
How does that phone call at all distance his family from ensuing legal chaos? Once investigated it will be clear Skylar was somewhat complicit not to mention the money laundering. That phone call did nothing to distance his family, skylar only choice is to roll on and if need be testify against Walt.
It just makes it look like she was forced into things and she had no choice. He makes mention of what happened to people that crossed him who are now dead.

He just stole a baby and was the reason hank was dead, the phone call was unecessary if the goal was to get everyone to hate him.
youre def right but my piont was that it wasnt anger that motivated him 2 make the call but love and not panic but a calculated move it was panic when he took the baby with him and he clearly wasnt thinkin straight when he change her diaper in a tiolet thinkin they could be a happy family with the 2 of them when she said mamma he came back 2 his senses... srry for my english its hard for me 2 get my piont across

The he forced me to commit months of crime excuse will not fly. And upon investigation it will become blatantly clear she was complicit. Like i said her only chance is full cooperation with the police which we will likely see in the final episodes.

Because in the phone call he makes it clear skylar knew what was going on, which implicates her not helps her. If the goal is to get them to hate him why make the phone call at all they clearly already hate him.
You're right... but now she's in a position to help the police, and you know how lawyers love cutting deals to get the "real" bad guy. She can basically claim he forced her into the situation.... who's going to disprove it? RiBBz22 point also furthers mine. He basically is threatning her.... so she can claim she was forced to do his bidding.

Redeeming qualities in a very bad guy.

You can't kidnap your own daughter, firstly. No court order to determine custody.

Secondly, fuck Skyler. She saw Walt was in a weak position so she once again changed sides. Totally cool with her to kill Jesse or anyone else really but not Hank when it was between him and Walt.

Whose going to disprove it? Uh the months of money laundering at the carwash. Marie maybe if her anger is renewed now that hanks dead, the video tape of the blackmail. The carwash itself. Saul could easily say she was complicit if the police pressured saul for whatever reason. I mean if you were the cops wouldnt you say hey you called us now why didnt you call us 6 months ago?

thats my point..... She was under fear that Walt would kill her. He gave her that out. When he said "Family or not... you know what happens when someone crosses me"
That right there let her off the hook. She can be totally complicit with authorities now. She can tell them everything he did..... and not be implicated. Even if she were put to trial.... a jury wouldn't find her guilty. They can only go by what she says. Even Marie doesn't have any proof that he wasn't forcing her to do it.

The poem eludes to this entire situation btw.

I'm most disappointed in Walt Jr.

He watches his mom pull a knife on his dade, sees her slash at and cut him, watches as his dad tries to wrestle the blade away from her, then calls the police and says, "My DAD pulled a knife on my MOM." I know things were crazy, blah blah blah, but still. I didn't like how that went down at all. Very upset with him and his decisions.

Threatening someones life does not justify a crime in the eyes of the law. Walt would still be convicted of conspiracy to commit murder for gus. And no you are wrong, if right now she still refused to cooperate with police she would be tried for her crimes and rightfully so.

The dude just learned his father was a meth peddaling murderer and a monster. You cant possibly be disappointed with Walt jr.

yea of course
And the cops would ask. You called us when he took your daughter, why didnt you call us months earlier if you felt your families life was in danger? This alone would make her story crumble. Hank figured out she was complicit so would an army of DEA and police.

We are not talking about what is likely to happen, we are talking about Walt's intent and purpose of the call.

So if you were being held hostage by the threat of your life... and the dude said you had to rape a woman... and you did. When they finally found you.... you think you'd be put in jail?

You really think that?

I'm pretty confident that hostage situations like this are taken into account.

Skylar has the option now that Walt was making her do all of this, under the threat that he'd kill her if she didn't. You dont' think every lawyer in america would find a way to get her some type of community service for all her dirt on Walt?

C'mon now.

Yes and the phone call did nothing to exonerate skylar from any wrong doing. Nor was the call meant to exonerate skylar from any wrong doing.

She wasnt being held hostage she was alone and had many oppurtunities to contact the police there was no gun to her head when she was laundering her money. She was not even remotely close to being a hostage. She sent her kids away for 3 months thats not something a hostage would be permitted to do since the kids would be walts leverage. It would take the cops a day to learn she was complicit, it took hank an hour.

YOU know that

they don't.

Being a hostage doesn't mean "in one place with the abducter at all times"

Just think about this.

She can spill a story that basically says "Walt told me about all of the people he has killed.... what choice did I have?"
Just because she did those crimes... didn't mean she did them on her own, or wasn't forced. No one can prove she wasn't forced. Just because... yeah she was "alone" when doing it... doesn't mean he wasn't watching.

Think about Gus and Walt and the situation they had. Same thing. Basically the only way for Walt to get out of that... was to either die, cook the meth, or kill Gus.

Unlike Walt, Skylar didn't have a killer's mentality.

I'm still kind of curious as to what Walt's intentions are with the Ricin(?) he took from the socket in his home during the flash-forward.

I would assume it's to kill himself, but that seems a bit too obvious. Thoughts and opinions?

I'm pretty sure Walt told Skylar over the phone it was all him and she had nothing to do with it for her best interest. He knew authorities were present. He did that for her.
