Hey guys. I'm getting in touch with a gaming center in Johnson City known as "Pandemonium Gaming".
From what I understand, they basically organize tournaments and help support the local scene for a lot of games. They also plan times for "free play events" where you can go play casuals of any game.

Their tourneys seem pretty legit...There's a Halo 4 tournament going on tomorrow where 1st place apparently wins $1000. Other games that have tournaments planned for the near future are TTT2, Black Ops, Madden 13, and FIFA13. (And they play on Asus monitors)

If we could get a group of MK players together to show up for casual games sometime, our scene could easily start growing. Let me know when would be a good time for you guys to play, or if there's any other issues like needing a ride.

I'm gonna tag a few people but if anybody else reads this and is interested, please post something here!

I should be moving there in may up to nashville ...though I here its dead there hopefully that's not the truth

Iniquity no longer plays MK : ( ... If I have enough notice before an event I can generally get out of work for anything. So if you can let me know about two weeks ahead of time I can take a day off for an event. I haven't forgottten about running casuals either things have just been crazy hectic.

Cool, thanks. I got to talk to the guys from Pandemonium Gaming in person today. They're definitely on board to set up times when we could play casuals and potentially even host tournaments depending on how many players we have. MrTopper also has a connection with G2K games in Johnson City where we could use the store to play MK on certain days of the week.

But yeah, I'll definitely let you know whenever I find out the next date that Pandemonium is hosting casuals. Other than that, me and Topper are open to play casuals all the time. If you find any time to play that fits with your work schedule we'll most likely be able to play as well.

I think there used to be a small scene at Game Galaxy Arcade in Nashville. That's also where the Midwest Championship tournament is held in June. Good luck moving man.

Thanks bro ya should be a lot of fun i host normally so if i can find a scene ill continue to do so up there

Sounds pretty cool! I'd have to get permission to attend since I'm not quite 18 yet ...which isn't really a problem, but the main thing is that from where I am to Johnson City seems to be a several hour trip, and I lack transportation. :/

I'm in Chattanooga, TN.

EDIT: I was at Final Round & was going to play MK9 there, but I didn't sign up or get to sign up for it at the last minute. So I just showed up & supported. I seen Pig of the Hut, Blackula, & PL there (pretty much the only guys I could recognize) . Sorry I'm just now saying something. I've been playing 3 games (DOA, MK, Injustice) now working on VF. I've just now been able to heavily get into the community & been working with only 1 character each, but I really wanna meet a lot of you guys if you don't mind.

I know there are some guys in Nashville. That's a midway point. I really want to get something started in Tennessee. I feel like it would benefit the players in the state a lot.

Nashville is 1hour & 30mins away so I can definitely do it. I've been trying to find people to play all kinds of fighters. Marvel & SF are about the only 1s I know that they'll play. I went to a place called the Iron Lab here downtown & they host MK tournaments. But very few enter it & now it's completely dead. Not sure about Injustice, but so far I haven't found ppl who really play that along with the other fighters that I play.

What's up everybody. I'll be moving to the Bristol area in exactly a week. Sadly after skimming this thread it looks the scene is just as sparse as it is here in WNC.

::sigh:: oh well maybe some players will come out of hiding.

I'm finally here in Bristol. Where are all the casuals at???

Once my apartment is unpacked and organized I'll be able to host casuals here. Got an ASUS for such occasions.

Memphis just had a tournament for I:GAU last week. This game doesn't have as many players as MK9 did when it dropped. And I'm not back playing fgs yet but I just picked this up casually 2 weeks ago and it's fun. I'm pretty comfortable and functional in it now that I've stopped trying to play it like MK9.

I'm down for games or whatever if I have time.

It WAS posted and hyped months in advance. Just not on here. Truth be told, I'm not sure if people eben still know this site exists. MK9 scene in TN boomed when game released, then died abrubtly like after Skarlet dropped. Usually I am an "ambassador" of sorts for games I play and do some communal stuff but I quit fgs after Final Round in March. I initially went to the Memphis tourney only because my friends run it and I promised beforehand that I would. At this point, I had only dabbled with IGAU for 4 days prior. I didn't know what scene was like and was actually suprised that they even ran it. This game was literally not on my radar at all until like a week and a half ago. And I'm still not back in scene competitively, but rather just having fun with this when I can.

What casuals on Tuesdays?

At Memphis Greater Magic Arena. It's on Wednesdays.
I think you're talking about Boss Battles, right?
