A 'pro' is someone who gets paid to do what they do. Professional players will be paid to play the game.
If you mean 'being good' at a character. Of course you can do that by this point. I can be good with my character.

Game has been out since april, that's plenty of time now in september to be a "pro" w/that char. This is IGAU, not tekken or sf, there isn't a lot of depth to these chars. Granted we are still learning the game and not everything has been discovered, but yeah, I'm confident the top 8 in evo are "pros" at this game

I actually disagree. IMO there's still a lot in the metagame that will be evolving over the next year or so. In matchups too, we're not realistic on a lot of things. Some people still think one character wins while others think the other character wins, for example, and not because they're bad either. People didn't call MK deep but there was a big and noticeable difference in the play from Sept 2011 to late 2012 era, and characters like Cage, Sonya, and Skarlet who no one thought much of around that time would go up the tier list.

Absolutley, that's why I said not everything has been discovered yet. I don't think we really understand the DLC but MK was a much deeper game than IGAU. I think it's safe to at least start a MU chart and we can always edit it over time. I don't think anybody realizes how long this is going to take (assuming it's done correctly and not by random players who don't know what they are talking about)

Unfortunately in this community, matchup charts seem to create excuses for losing, asking for buffs/nerfs, general salitness, and dumb bickering on the threads. The game is still really new and a major patch is coming.

I won't pretend to be a foremost authority, but something doesn't seem quite right about cyborg being that low

i'm probably wrong on that one to an extent. But i know a good amount of characters beat him (some badly) so he definitely isn't in the "viable" range

A) List "Top" players that have agreed.
B) A list VERY similar with he same style HAS been posted on TYM just a few days ago, I just can't find the thread atm I swear.
C) I NEVER stated I knew more. You put words in my mouth. I simply stated there were allot of things wrong with it. People are finding new tech every day it seems, so IMO tier lists are garbage. To top it off, the patch we will get in the next month or so will probably change everything.
D) Ask your "TOP" players which ones they moved around, that should tell you there is conflict within the list. And, for the record I have seen some pretty awesome Shazam players, and I don't think he's that bad of a character, but that's my op.

Making a tier list is a joke to the highest degree IMO! The skill a PLAYER puts into it is what makes a character good or bad. Sure there are things about the character design that can hinder or make them OP, but it's whether or not a player knows how to abuse or avoid those abilities with their chosen character is the key, at least this is what I see. In the current state of IGAU I've seen people take a character that was thought of as lacking in ability to win via match-ups like Grundy and seen people like Tyrant do amazing things with him to win tournaments.

I think we need to hold off on "Tier Lists" until NRS announces there will be NO MORE changes to the game. Then like MK9 we can put together an accurate list.

me posting that list was to stop any wasted attempted at making a MU chart this early in the game by giving a mostly accurate Tier breakdown.
