I use the gold Deathstroke icon with the WW stars and stripes and people quit before even before the select screen. lol ...

I dont even use stroker that much anymore because WW, Superman, and Batman are way better.

It's funny because WW is way cheaper than deathstroke even when ds had safe LGS but .... ya know guns guns guns

OK I know Ketchup made an amazing video on getting by DS's guns, but the truth of the matter is this. When you do get close to DS the intractables save his ass EVERY time on almost every stage he has a way out. Sure you can dash block 1/2 the screen to get to him but then you've taken at least 25% chip damage, then you have to pray he doesn't use an intractable on you when your trying to get the last dash in to actually fight him, or get sword flipped on your dash attempt. IMHO Death Stroke was not a well thought out character with game balance in mind. People still abuse him, and lag online makes it even worse. Sure you CAN beat him, but no matter what the situation only a few characters can really stand a chance against him in the match-up. Characters with air dash's (ie. Superman, Wounder Woman, Killer Frost) seem to have a better time, as well as Black Adam and possibly Zod. Batgirl and MMH can blow up DS but you don't see many of those online IMO. In all honesty DS needs a bit more recovery on all his gun shots, but that's just my opinion. Others may say he's been nerfed already but I still feel in a majority of instances it wasn't enough. Blow this up or what ever but that's just the way I see it.

Haven't seen a topic like this in awhile. Feel bad for you OP. It sucks when folks bail on you just because they hate the matchup. Im betting after the feedback from this game the mobility in future sequels is probably going to get a good wealth of options added to it to keep people from panicking in the casual circles like they do now. Folks just struggle to learn movement in this game without dash cancels or projectile nullification gimmicks it seems.

When you play characters like Bane or Grundy you are forced to dash. Watch Ketchup's video and you'll see why. As far as being in DS's sword-flip range all he has to do is take a step forward and sword-flip, so with that it can be impossible to judge.

If you feel he's going to sword flip, walk up a little, block, and full combo punish. Not hard at all. It only does like 9% anyways.

I knew how to deal with Deathstroke players and I still found the matches boring as all fuck. I was tempted to quit not out of rage, but out of the drudgery of playing duck-advance-duck-advance-duck-advance for half the match before putting him in a combo and repeating the same thing. The most fun I had against Deathstroke players were those that actually advanced and used mix-ups (even if I lost to them), because it was more interesting than duck-advance-duck-advance.

It's far more pronounced with Deathstroke and you know it. Lasers, fireballs, charges etc can all be jumped over or have a much more obvious start-up or hit delay. Deathstroke's guns on the other hand will lock you down full screen and instantly (even lasers scorch the length of the screen in a line).


Also, should point out that I'm by no means "defending" bad players, only that I fully understand that some people just want to play for mindless fun without delving into the deep mechanics of the game, and DS is the epitome of the kind of character that you simply can not do this against.

I feel your pain every time i play Sinestro online i usually get a ragequit and hate mail. I also had a cyborg rage quit on my Bane, that was a one time thing though, but i just stopped playing online

Just play people from here. Ever since I started doing that, I've been having slightly more fun with the game. Rage quitters will always rage quit, there is no sense in trying to reason with them as to what you are doing is not "spam". I've had people call me a spammer for combo punishing Scorpion's teleport and because I was "blocking too much".

lol dude online isnt all competitive or tournament players, there are a ton of casuals who play this game just for fun and from their perspective its no fun at all to have to "play patient" and duck walk duck walk etc against gunshot city, if you choose to play deathstroke and play him that way its on you he has more tools than just his guns, i mean maybe its fun to you but to the majority of casuals its not its in fact the most boring way to play the game and frustrating if they are losing so they will always RQ or jut leave, if you want serious competition and people who wont quit play tourney players or guys from tym.

I made this video a couple of days ago. Unlike SSF4, which is so old, by now nearly everyone you face knows how to play the game properly, Online randoms in Injustice are clueless. I play Deathstroke and get the same problem. They don't want to play patiently, they'd rather jump in and do combos. If gunshots stop them from doing that, you're not playing fairly.

If you want decent competition, ask on TYM if anyone wants some games. Otherwise you'll keep having the same problem unfortunately.

To be fair, I can only successfuly dash with GL's awful dash between DS's gunshots about 60 percent of the time online with inly a little lag.

Walking and blocking is a good alternative, but ive yet to see this mentioned in any of these "how to get in on DS"

I sympathize with the OP, but I feel its hard to blame players when the game's tutorial and online help videos dont cater enough to helping low level players deal with zoning tactics.

Ive actually not seen Superman get this treatment as much.

Superman and Batman are the most commonly played characters among casuals. Less people complain about them, because most likely they play AS Superman alot.

it depends on who we play. i doubt we've played every single xbl memeber that has injustice online. the playes i myself have faced have either raged quit or sent me hate mail. this of course is different for everyone because we face different people online
