While I do love me some absinthe, I wouldn't say beer is low-tier at all..unless you are talking about US domestics. I'd consider myself a beer connoisseur (I have drunken over 1000 varieties in over 15 countries) so I think I have a valid understanding of the MUs. By the way, the absinthe you can find in the western countryside of France is better than anything you can get stateside. I was on an absinthe kick when I was drugged out of my mind and hitch hiking through Europe back on my early 20's.. Good times.. Sex drugs and trance music baby.

ah you dont have to tell me, im from europe i know absinthe over this side of world better.
yea im more than a bit of a absinthe head myself aswell, i collect absinthe bottles

it would be a bottle i got sent from praque before that id put at top my list, all torquoise colour, was slick.
marilyn manson has his own brand of absinthe which pretty tasty too, 66.6% aswell lol

Here in belgium you dont need to drive to get beer lol. You can just call for beer and they bring it. You have to be 16 tough.....NOT

Ok serious now, i wouldnt do that, fuck them if they only call u if they need something

Driving two hours for beers? There is nowhere closer?
Right? Dunno where the hell you have to live to be in that situation. Beer seems to make itself readily available no matter where you are. If I drive one block there's an intersection with literally a liquor store on each corner lol

Me and this guy have been pretty good friends for about 6 years. We havent spoken too much recently but the other night I got a text from him saying him and his friend needed a ride to get some beer.
You and I have very different definitions of what it means to be "good friends." In my line of work, I meet hundreds of people in a month and have to network to get things done, so I have a lot of acquaintances. A few I might even go as far as to say I like and would probably be friends with, if there was more time to devote to it or the situations were a little different. Only a handful of people would I call a good friend. Those people can call me up at 3 a.m. to change their flat tire, and I'd be there. If they wanted a ride for beer, no problem.

I do not think you did anything wrong by not giving that person a ride. You were uncomfortable with the request, so you opted out. Perhaps this person is simply someone you know well, but don't truly consider a friend?

Although we are good friends, he and I are quite different. I dont feel remorse because tbh anyone who knows me well knows that I wont go out of my way to do something illegal even if it is for a friend.

Thanks to everyone for the responses. I am a very analytical person and I always appreciate getting different POVs.
