But its the fact that he likes it that is peculiar.
Lol.. I don't understand how the game is a cash grab if you can get the full roster for under the price of a full game.
You pay those 60$ but more than 40$ goes directly to the Store's profit while the Developers (Anyone affiliated with the development process really), only see about 8-20$ of that sale.

And that's from a game that has less cost to it. Games that are sold in any retail format even if only partially have to keep in mind those costs. But here is some citation. If more is required I'd be more than happy to provide.
Only the first two of those are independent sources, the third is a copy/paste of the first. Also these sources completely disagree with your point that I quoted. You say that $40 of a $60 game go directly to a store's profit. It's okay to argue your point and all that, but do not falsely spread data that you made up and presented as fact in your argument and expect to be taken seriously. Also godlessmode

Developers (Double Helix)
But it's on the internet, so it must be true!86% of statistics, and facts are made up. The others are being misinterpreted to suit someones needs.
Frankly. Most of those costs apply to any business and you begin blurring the lines between what the developer makes, and what the developer has to spend. Also, the IGN board references the eurogamer article as it's source...
I do think that the digital mark-up is too far in the distributors favor right now due to the extremely limited competition, but then again, I don't have all the information and am just speculating. As is just about everyone else (other than MS, and Sony) but I doubt they are telling anytime soon.
So is this one made up too? o.o?86% of statistics, and facts are made up. The others are being misinterpreted to suit someones needs.
