Hit Box Injustice Thread

Gotta give this thread a little bumpity wumpity just cuz ;)

I do have a question tho for the Hit Box guys or any other users. I'm noticing in the lab that when I do basic motions like quarters circles and such, I get the diagonals. I was under the impression that with the HitBox that wasn't supposed to happen if I was using it properly. Am I pressing the buttons too hard (thereby leaving my fingers on the buttons longer due to the force) or just being sloppy due to inputting too fast? I have problems like when doing Catwoman's B12d3 I'll get a bd diagonal input which sometimes give me an armored b3 cancel (which steals 2 bars of meter BTW....) because with the "MK" inputs, the game reads the diagonal as a second back input which is what triggers the cancel.

Also, I saw over on SRK a little discussion about the decision to go hard-wired. I personally favour this. I don't like the idea of jacks that wear and get loose over time (especially if you are a frequent traveler) and slipping out during a match.

Anywho, it was great to meet you guys at EVO and I hope to be able to do it again next year (I was the guy that wouldn't shut up ).

On the hitbox you get the diagnal when you are pushing both the down and left or right button at the same time for example.

Youre just putting them in too fast (or specifically not releasing the previous cardinal input before moving onto the next).

I don't get that.

I actually feel its easier to do B12D3 on hitbox.

You need to make sure you let go of any buttons and take your time when you do other inputs. The buttons are extremely sensitive.

I love hitbox in injustice. It was a lot of really good shortcuts

has any hitbox users played with zatanna at all? does it make executing her teleports 1000 times easier?! I suck so much in large part because i constantly screw stuff up on my inputs on stick and years of frustration has always made me wonder about the Hitbox and whether i should pull the trigger and grab it. Zatanna just makes the frustration worse lol.

They are the same input as Cyborgs right? If so, yeah they are a bit easier on a hitbox (though its still a dumb input because of how strict the up/upforward/upback + attack is.

I spent all of 5 seconds with Zatanna and her teleports were coming out soo smooth. I don't want to sound like a schill for HitBox, but I firmly believe that if you're playing MK or Injustice with "MK" controls, you are a moron to NOT use a HitBox. I even told Shawn and Brian that when I met them at EVO. My advice to you is the same advice I have for anyone thinking of changing their input method (pad, stick or HItBox) try out a friend's if you can before you buy. Every device has it's perks and drawbacks and it really comes down to what feels comfortable for YOU.

Oh I do too. The problem is that I'm either hitting the buttons too fast or too hard so that the inputs are either sloppy or I'm still touching the button when I try to do the next one so I get the diagonal in the extra few frames that it takes for me to lift my fingers due to how hard I am hitting the buttons. Also, I have a bit of a ruff time with the timing of that string for some reason. I end up hitting the :d closer to the 2 instead of the 3 and let Negative Edge do the kombo. I really notice it when I do b12d3 xx Cat Claws since you can input it all at once but if I wait to input the Cat Claws until I see the d3 start up, that seems to fix it for me most of the time.

Thanks for the advice guys. It all tells me that I gotta go back in the lab and slow things down to really tighten up my execution. It also tells me that I need to concentrate on using the HitBox like a typewriter and not hit the buttons so hard. When I do that, my execution seems to go up exponentially. I just gotta find a way to keep hitting the buttons lightly under "battle pressure".

I just tap the buttons.
