You talking about Raiden? That was KoF XII when he was godlike and that game had reasons it was rushed out like that so I dont really know what that argument is supposed to change.
KoF XIII was amazing out the gate and still is. You can pick about any team of battery, well rounded, meter whore anchor and make it work since day 1. The 3 years have done a lot for it granted, but it was always pretty amazing in its footsies and options on how to use cast to get in, get damage, deal with tactics, and open things up. Mainly thats why I reference it...our options are pretty limited in how we can move and function in this game.
My point is, the first 3 MONTHS in (again, that's how old injustice is, 3-4 MONTHS) were plagued by sloppy HD heavy play when every team was Raiden, Goro / Robert, and anyone else and it was just a race to see who could land the first dropkick. There was no well balanced rounded battery nothing, t here was no back and forth logic anything now. It was dropkick, simple HD loops, and whoever had the most invincibility / armor (Robert, Goro, Clark, and Kensou) literally ruled the earth.
A couple of months, a few patches, and a shit load of play from literally around the globe later, KoFXIII is a pretty solid game, but you can't just ignore the backstory. That's like calling SF4 Vanilla balanced because AE2012 is pretty solid. Just look at youtube videos from road to evo events in 2012, just last year, when the US was so free it was almost embarrassing. You would not have called t he game balanced when Kims / K's teams were literally OCV'ing tournaments.
Injustice needs TIME and SUPPORT more than it needs any single buff or nerf or system change. It needs players in the community to find out why KDZ's supposedly unstoppable superman is so inconsistent, but Rico's BA seems absolutely unstoppable, why guys like PR Balrog are cracking top 8 with day 2 character play, and why all these supposedly high tier characters (WW, Flash, Frost, Grundy, Batgirl, and even Aquaman / GL, lately) can't break top 8 but Superman, Batman and BA are still running the tables with the same tech that supposedly "everyone knows".
