A friend of mine recently introduced me to the game Smite, it's a free to play MOBA with a heavy emphasis on co op with friends, it's a fun little game that i'm really finding myself losing hours to, especially when i have buddies to play it with, just thought i'd make a quick thread to see if any of you guys play and wouldn't mind joining me sometime!

right now i only know how to play Ra, and a little of Arachni if someone manages to nab Ra before i do. :p

i'll compile a list of player names as you guys post them in this thread.

I don't know how to play, but I can't imagine it being too much different than League or Dota...
So if you can bear with me, I wouldn't mind picking it up.

i'm down for playing with pretty much anyone :)

not gonna lie though, i'm not digging the community so far, no one seems to be tolerant to new players, they'd rather just shout them out and talk trash because they don't know what they're doing as opposed to actually helping them.

Every MOBA community barring like Dota does it. I'm used to it from the FGC and they all play the same so I usually get by.

Mostly an Arena player. I usually play support characters, though in the last few days ripping gods apart with Kali has been very satisfying.

i hear LoL has it 10 times worse yeah, i'm just not used to this type of player yet.

really fun game though, the combat is so intuitive, and the whole concept of playing as gods is just badass.

I do that lol but I'm sorry there's a tutorial for a reason, if you die before 1 min aka the creep waves start because you goto the tower an die in 2 hits.. Yes I won't be polite because you just wasted 30 mins or rather going to waste my time drag out a pointless match for at least half an hour.
I was going 9-1 with Kali and I had 2 feeders that quit soon after so it was now 3v5 that to me annoys me...
However ill never rage at someone who is new and asks for help or has questions, I will help anyone who asks not just ruins the game after leaving 5 mins

Was playing alongside a Chang'e and Hun Batz in arena, and the both of them wouldn't shut up trashing me throughout the entire game. "I hope you get hit by a car and die" "I hope your firstborn child dies of shaken baby syndrome" Even during the end recap screen they called me a "noob kali" ... 12-4-15 is noob? Id hate to see terrible

you won't be polite because a new player doesn't understand the fundamentals of the game after a few games?

i played the tutorial, and it didn't explain jack of the meta game. just the objectives.

not being funny, but that's a really lame excuse to be a dick to new players lol.

I'm digging the look of this Apollo guy.
Do the god purchases follow the same system as League where you can earn stuff in-match and buy them, HoN where you have to buy them with real currency, or DotA where you can just use any of them whenever?

I just got it the other day its pretty fun, I don't really know the meta of it or if it is exactly like lol. Have only played a couple games and stuck with Neith so far she seems pretty fun.

The entire game is free to play, you start with 5 playable gods and 5 locked gods who are randomly playable on a rotation every week.

the game has dozens of gods, but the majority are locked, you can unlock them by spending in game currency earned by completing matches, or buy them with real money asa micro transaction.

each god has a number of different costumes to choose from, and these can also be unlocked via in game currency (favour) or real money. :)

The all god pack is very worth it. 29.99 gets you all gods and all future gods.
If you decide you like the game, picking that up is a steal.

I play. Quite often actually. Usually with deadman. My smite name is R3AL3NTL3SS.

I can effectively play 2 tanks (hades, ares). I like to play dps the most tho. FENRIR, Thor, and currently working in being consistent with Zeus.

If you're just starting out. Friend me I don't mind helping people learn and I don't spaz out if we lose.

I might have to take you up on that, i love the game but i'm so bad at it.
