Curious: Why no love for MK9 Tag Team?

They tried to run a legit tag tourney and it boiled down to cage/kabal infinites. Blame REO and Maxter

This. Although the earliest ran tag tournament I've seen was on bifiteki's stream early in the games life, back in 2011. Chris G won it, but they didn't do much combos.

The most relevant is the one mentioned above. Sonicfox and Blackula had some sick combo's (hell the stream monsters were feeling it), until Reo and Maxter looked up the Cage/Kabal infinite and used it to take the whole tournament.

Honestly, I have no problem with infinites if they require meter. It's the one's that don't require meter that become pretty lame.

Lol man, Reo and Maxter cheesing their way to that win vs. Foxcula was one of the most broken, and funniest things I have ever seen.

I literally saw them looking up the combo on their phone, it was that easy to pull of. Sure they dropped it at first, but they literally got it down in like 5 minutes. Funnest part was how the stream monsters went from "Man, this tag is hype" to "This is bullsh*t" lol

You would need a rule book to play tag competitively, but I still really like playing tag mode, it's really fun and the combo potential is amazing. I think it's interesting that some of the low tier characters have some of the best potential in tag mode.
