I dont need to elaborate because I agree totally. The counter arguments that has been outlined in this thread and elsewhere is that its "too hard to police random stage" due to there being no random button. I doubt that we could talk sense into the people in the counter-pick stage camp due to this. TBH it is the only argument against random stage that isn't illogical.
even tho we can see the stage before we get there, we can do the (wait for P2 to pop up on the stage selection screen and go with that stage since we can't see that stage from the character select screen). Or we can just start off with the stage we see from the character select screen. It is a good idea because stages play a huge factor in matchups as we all know and other games with stages that play a different have this rule, so we should do the same thing. Loser picks just means a counterpick stage fest (like in mk9) and 50/50 gives someone way to strong of a chance to get their stage back again.
The only problem with this is once p2 presses A their finger could "slip" and press B to go back to character select.

It sounds stupid but it could happen.
You dont get what I am saying though. You press A and it lands on the stage but it DOESNT select it. So if you press A and see a stage you dont like, you can "accidentally" press B and go back to stage select. Then again as long as your opponent sees it you can just force them to go back and play that stage.

Oh cool, then that gets my vote. That's not how it works. If player 2 backs out and goes back to player select the original random stage will still be highlighted when they pick characters again.
3/5
Random stage select at all times (P2 press 3 to appear highlighting a random stage). Stages carry too much of an advantage to allow a 50/50 coin toss decide their selection
Every other FG does it, they seem to be doing fine.so you want that much chance involved in your tournament set? No. I disagree man.
Picking a stage is as strategic as picking an ultra in SF4.

It seperates those who have actually practiced every stage and those who only pick one stage.
The problem with being condescending is you make yourself look stupid when you are wrong.ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm maybe im fricking stupid or missing something.
are there interactables in sf4? or any other competitive game out right now? man... i should really learn those

No, there are no stages with interactables in other FGs. But there are stages with different walls/corners/ringouts that affect a match just as much as interactables do. The difference between an infinite stage in Tekken and a stage with close corners is completely different, plus you have wall and ground breaks which sort of act like interactables as they grant you full combos or combo extensions.
Cool. Too bad this isnt Korea.again... pretty sure the koreans attempt to pick stages without walls EVERY SINGLE TIME
