How did mr. Aquamans ares do against these guys? I know he got 13th but did it look like he had a chance at top 8?

But honestly, especially after watching that Flash being denied so many combos because of Aquaman's trait, I think that trait should either have a longer cooldown, or work "once" during the activation, then stop being active.

He's top tier. He's not broke. Other chars have stupid things too. People are ignorant of what a true WW player can do. As you mentioned, Aquaman's trait is excellent. Lots of kids throw out the "broke" word but have no idea what a truly broke char looks like. Yet ANOTHER big tourney Superman didn't win, but he's broke. LOL kids

Nice vids. Props to Killinator's Doomsday. Really patient and good reads. Didn't play really flowchart heavy and got a ton of mileage out of air grabs.

I'm not trying to argue for or against Supes being balanced here, but if you present a character's advantages exclusively, then every character looks broken. For example, Joker has:

-The only low parry in the game.
-Amazing aerials
-One of the faster projectiles in the game.
-High damage output
-Teeth resets
-Unblockable resets in the corner
-A lot of safe blockstrings, including a few safe enough to allow you to place teeth and still block a punish
-One of the best anti-airs in the game
-One of the very few positive on block projectiles in the game


Keep in mind this is a matchup based game though. A character can look amazing on paper but end up falling short simply because someone else has tools that beat him out specifically.

easily, i picked 4 different characters unfortunitally, only streamed match was vs fuerte and i dropped a combo that lost me my chance at brady, lost in losers by chip in the final round, but i used sinestro and WW lol. I sat dow with brady all weekend though and have been instructed to never pick anther characters, the guys I lost to I beat in sets all weekend with ares. Bill got me 5-3 when we played at the venue. Thats on me though, i almost expect to lose to these guys cause I taught them the game and they know my tech haha. I promise to arrive at SJ and TFC with a purpose and with the god of war only. Great stuff to everyone at this tournament

Because superman still has to activate trait. From a neutral situation fullscreen doomsday can trait up and do a MB venom while superman is using his own trait and hasn't had time to get a move out.

And DD doesn't care about being kept out for 8 seconds, one blocked laser is one free dash, 2 dashes are fullscreen distance for doomsday and not even mentioning MB venom.
