Who's going to be the next big character?

Exactly, is that so hard to understand? Everyone just isn't patient enough to put in the time to get good with him for Gods sake.

I love Lobo, I wanted him to be good soo bad. I do not play him not because he's low-tier, but because I just don't enjoy the way he feels. Even with buffs, I can't see him ever winning a major or really ever able to consistently compete with the top tier characters of this game. Let's hope I'm wrong.

Those people will just move to someone else, I certainly don't want him to be braindead if he gets some buffs. We have enough of those characters in the game already.

I'm going to give you the #1 reason we who have chosen to play this character are still playing him as our primary main, we don't play him based on tier status, we don't play him based on his supposed A tier rank, and we certainly don't play him if he supposedly is the worst in the game. Lobo is our main because we love the character's play style, personality, and backstory. We WANT the challenge of using him competitively, we WANT to suffer through the initial migraine that was learning Lobo, and I guarantee we constantly practice because this characters combos (while not impossible) require constant practice to pull off consistently , especially online. I don't know about anyone else but I'm working hard both in the money aspect and practicing the game aspect, to prove everyone who says this character is bad WRONG. I want not the forum, not NRS, not even REO, the whole FGC to know that "low tiers" can be capable of competing at a high level of play and I swear to you once I get that opportunity to go to my first tournament. I'll do my best to represent the people who play him in the best fashion possible.

Martian Manhunter. Mark my words. Flash has had his day in the sun, and so did Raven...but MMH is looking to be something special.

If you believe enough, -7 could be +7
The Five that I think will start blowing people up are the flash, WW, Dick, bat girl, and cyborg.

While i think pretty much the entire cast is being slept on, the ones that stick out to me the most besides obvious ones like Flash NW and WW are Grundy, BG and Raven. Why no one really mentions Grundy or Raven is beyond me. Raven=A nightmare from almost anywhere on screen and Grundy is a death sentence if he gets in on you.

NW and Flash for sure. WW is pretty tough, but I think everyone agrees on this.
Cyborg has some really good setups. His corner damage is pretty high as well. Don't think he's top 5, but he seems underrated right now since everyone just plays the keepaway game with him.

flash is retarded, some1 better put the time in with zod because zod is top tier, he smells like kabal, and mmh is obvy s tier

I think the only reasons Flash and NW still haven't blown up is because they actually require some thought while playing. I wish Cyborg had a MB missle (or whatever that is called).

I agree with what you said on Flash. NW in staff stance on the other hand seems really cheap to me with his ground spark / flying garrison. Once you're in it's d1 time. This is killing me.

In case you like playing Cyborg try this setups:

When I played st9rm he completely destroyed me with it. Sure, nothings guaranteed and you learn how to deal with it, but you'll catch a lot of people off guard that expect a zoning Cyborg. Evenmore, you'll corner them pretty fast.

One day at a time...
Me thinks maybe Catwoman, Shazam, Lobo or highly possibly Bane. Last three are all very underrated and crazy powerful.

Nope, unless new tech is discovered (and by tech I don't mean general match-up strategies, I mean "holy fuck you can do that?!?"). There is hardly any hidden/kept hush dirt on Raven - she's a very... how can I put this... straightforward character? No mix-ups, no OTGs, etc. The closest she gets to dirt is setting up an ambiguous cross-up.

Don't get me wrong she is a very solid character (and still underrated by a few people), but she won't be The Next Big Thing unless someone works out some new stuff, because at the moment she can be countered by holding down/back, and every non-demon special is unsafe on block.

People just need to learn the match-up and stop letting her get away with so much unsafe stuff ;). Failing that, f23 her into a corner (yes I know she has a 6f down one).

Get your guns on. Sheriff is back.
The next big breakout character is easily going to be Martian Manhunter now that he's out. I think Reo may have already showcased a bit of why he will be good, but in general he has damage, zoning, pokes, punishes, teleports, and tricky stuff. In short...he can counter any tactic and adapt during any match if you want him too and reap large rewards for it. He just has all the tools.

Following him though is Hawkgirl and Nightwing. Nightwing for the insane setups and pressure. He's really great but sadly his counterpicks are some of the best in the game so folks will HAVE to keep an antizoner backup for him. Hawkgirl only suffers to a couple of folks though and while Green Lantern is probably the best known she suffers against some of her best matchups are the rest of the top tier. She can ruin a Superman player and honestly I dont think Black Adam can run for free on her either. Lots of her flight stuff can get her in on him and once her pressure starts its corner time and 40+ percent damage. All her little punish combos tend to do in the 20's as well and she is HARD to deal with on reaction with her speed and overheads. She might seem to straight forward to breakout but she is hard to react to as Wing Evade gets hard to read and she can cross behind people's wakeup and stuff most wakeup tactics making her very hard to deal with as unlike folks like Bane she doesn't have trouble getting in to start her dirt.

Look for Hawkgirl before Nightwing but expect breakouts from both. Expect MMH before both of those though IMO.

The next big character will be a dlc character that gets released and isn't at all balanced (ex: Scorpion). Nrs did very well with zod and mmh afterwards though so hopefully im wrong. Maybe another character with something like f23 might get released also, you never know. For right now though I'm predictong zod of the hut, NW, MMH and possibly a grundy.
