For god's sake... the people working on the game are in DIRECT contact with the FGC. For shit sake FilthyRich is one of the guys working on the game. I met him at a NE BigE event... super cool dude.

How about also look at this... Kevin Tacharoen did "Glee" prior to the MK Legacy stuff. I admit... I've criticized this just as Mayo is criticizing the KI team... but the moral of the story is... the past is the past and here's to the future!

C'mon now... this is KILLER INSTINCT we're talking about! We've waited forever for this... there's no way I can be negative about it.

Except the past isn't just the past. The past is their record from their first release in 2008 all the way to current as of last year with Battleship: The Movie The Game.

It's nice that they have FGC guys on board. But they aren't the programmers or people with final say at a studio that has a long history of taking shortcuts and pumping out mediocrity to cash in.

I honestly only think it is Killer Instinct in name... that would be like a no name developer with a horrible list of games developing MK and taking out the fatalities. Then they would make it play like Tekken with a F2P system. Not only that but they make it an exclusive and put it on a console no one wants...

It is honestly a desecration to the series... I would never buy MK if this was what happened to it. I would feel the nostalgia... but I would be able to recognize that it is a greedy attempt to cash in on my memories...

Under_The_Mayo it doesn't really matter -- all the tourney players that have played it so far vouched for it being a good game and much better than they though it would be; so past reveiws don't hold much weight here.

I'll take first-hand information over blind speculation any day of the week.

Tbh it doesnt look or play like a KI game but i will still play it just because I love SF4 and I always wonder how a 2d tekken game would be like...

You did forget one of the most important Beat Em Ups --> Weaponlord ;)

KI will be amazing, just look on the many cool mechanics.

@postdude KI had always some SF mechanics. Its nothing new but beside this, the new KI will have more than enough own mechanics ^^

as cool as this game looks and as badly as i want to play it; the new restricions that microsoft are placing are greedy and unfair. i particulary despise the always online "feature". i remember the days when i was broke as christopher reeves neck and could still play my games to keep me from killing myself. and i also am a grown ass man who gets to decide what he does with the titles he purchased. i shouldn't (and will not) check in with anyone to play the titles that i paid for. do not buy into their pr bull shit. "we are going digital" "its the way of the future" dont believe this. it is code for "fuck the consumer we dont give a fuck about you. and we want more money then the billions we still would have made without theese gay ass rules" BOYCOTT ALL MICROSOFT PRODUCTS INCLUDING THE XBOX ONE. if you care at all about the future of console gaming then DO NOT BUY THE XBOX ONE. We have to show microsoft that they do not control us WE DECIDE HOW MUCH MONEY THEY EARN. and we must show them we will not tolorate there GREEDY, SPOILED, SELFISH WAYS. AND UNTILL THEESE POLICIES ARE NULLIFIED WE SHOULD BOYCOTT MICROSOFT COMPLETELY. SHIT CONVERT TO A MAC IF YOU OWN A PC OR DOWNLOAD LINUX. Well, they changed the drm policies. I'm all in. Already have my console preordered and paid in full. KI, here I come!

The original 1 was the best of them all. They went off the concept of the game i only see familiar characters not familiar gameplay for me all i see is a game like mvc3 (i think MVc3 is good,but the fighting system dont fit for this type of game)cuz i dont even see blood in this. Fancy graphics, horrible music, too different they tried to modernize it too much that for me this game dont deserve to be called killer instinct unless they fix something before release... for me it aint worth it at the moment... ill just keep playing 1 and 2.

Are you / have you seen the recent videos, streams, or listened to the remastered KI soundtrack? The nek KI is shaping up to be amazing in many different ways.

I absolutely can't understand your point...

The gameplay STILL is KI gameplay and there is more than enough blood.

And the music... is awesome. The first thing i thougt when i heard Jago's theme was "Fuck Yeah! Thats KI"

2. I never played the old KI (except on an emulator recently) but this game is interesting to me.
3. I'm not going to betray PSN for Microsoft's BS and that free to play shit, if anyone should be a free character it's Sabrewulf

Yes i did ok they fixed the soundtracks and free to play is 1 character . They should just sell it as a arcade if they gonna do that. I bet each character gonna be like 5-10$ and theres gonna be like 15-20 characters.

Ken Lobb said the characters would be cheap. I guess we'll see what he means at Gamescom.
