except that almost every throws in tekken are 12 frames and each throw has a different animation (yes you have to see the correct arm), so can you can actually use your reaction, mk and injustice is more like you have to read, way harder to react and tech throw than tekken.I have no idea how to break grabs either, however I've been on many Tekken streams (where you have to see the correct arm to break a throw) and asked the same question. It's mainly just practice, reaction, and anticipation. I remember Aris and Rickstah (another tekken player) were breaking throws like no tomorrow when the game initially dropped, mainly due to tekken and just going through it more.
Just my 2 cents
Help? I've noticed that at EVO many of the top players were breaking grabs like nothing, is there a trick to seeing grabs? REO for example, was breaking grabs even when it was least expected, but how?
It sounds trivial but just always have your finger on the throw button and hope you react fast enough.

This is why I hate the IGAU throw system. On MK and SCV, since my thumb is already placed on 1/2(MK9) or A/B(SCV), I can easily react to throws and tech them.Despite the fact that it's a guessing game in itself. But IGAU requires me to tech a throw WITH a throw. And my index is usually on the MB button for comfort reasons and my thumb, as I've said before, is on 1/2 so I can't tech with 1+3 either.
So teching in IGAU is nearly impossible for me to do on reaction.
yo MK throw breaks were 1000% ass.
I never knew exactly how but I think I broke every throw in tourney that the opponent tried.yo MK throw breaks were 1000% ass.

All I thought was that you had to press 1 lol, maybe I just got lucky.
Yeah that was a joke. Teching throws should not be that easy.1/3 for back throws 2/4 for forward throws. Or vice-versa.
So true. You can't. Mortal Kombat has conditioned you to not look for them because: Teching throws was a 50/50 guess.
