Question If Kabal were banned

Man really there are risk to walking down the side of the road there are risk to putting out a new game, stop being the pessimist of this forum. Everyone in here understand that there is the potential that one to three characters could come out and dominate and then this would not work out.

There is also the potential that cast really opens up and we see a all types of characters in use. This is a thread where we want people to look at the glass as half full not half empty.

I dont know, why u see this that pessimistic.

Sonya is very strong but she IS easier to defeat than Kabal. So more characters have more chances to win.

And i think Sony vs Kitana is 5:5 or 6:5 for Sony, because Sonya has the better punisher. I think thats the only true thing, which can make her much stronger versus Kitana.

Kitana's 21 has unfortunately an high starter ( but is anyway good ). f21 and f41 are way to slow. The only thing which would work, were d1~df2 but that isnt enough dmg. So in this point Sonya is much stronger, imo. And thats why i think, thats maybe 6:5

but i also could be wrong. Maybe i´ve forgot something important. Havent played MK since a long while...

This is dumb. As someone who has invested countless hours into Kabal practicing NDC's until my fingers bleed and my pads break, what would I do? Be forced to play one of my alts which I haven't put half the time into? We just had DJT show even at the highest level Kabal is beatable with the patience and proper strategy. At this point in the game banning people's mains would just turn them off further from attending tournaments. How would you feel if your main is all of a sudden banned after 2 years. SMFH that people are actually humoring this bs.

What if I told you that I know multiple people would quit if kabal was banned because they have put so much work into him? I only know one, but its possible there are many more. What about a possible new player who says wait, this community is banning characters? I heard that the mk community is a bunch of whiners, maybe I should not be a part of this. Didn't a lot of the fgc make a joke out of smash because they tried to ban Meta Knight? I agree that there is a huge possibility for succes here. Personally, I would want him banned for sure. I am just trying to look at both sides of the spectrum. If that makes me a pessimist, so be it.

EDIT: There is another one right above me, K7 who is a huge contributor to the community.

You people have been forcing alts on other people for two years. Now it's your turn.

An alt for a bad mu is one thing. Completely throwing 2 years of work in the trash because you can't play him in tournament is another. Luckily this "ban" will never happen and this is all pissing in the wind.

It can be done. This isn't rocket science. Other games have communities that contribute, why can't this one?

I mean, you guys proved this game is more hype than Injustice, even with the broken shit.


Take the most consistent top 8 placers plus community suggestions and fix the game properly.

...after being detested for almost 2 years for saying pre-patch Kung Lao and pre-patch Scorpion had huge holes that nobody wanted to figure out?

EDIT: just for the record, Kabal was the best in UMK3 for very different reasons, if his spin didn't have zero fucking frame startup I think he'd lose to Human Smoke for sure.

But ultimately it was just because from vanilla MK3 to UMK3, Sub-Zero and Jax got nerfed and Kabal went under the radar because of it (he lost his buzzsaw during spin but nothing else). Some things never change do they?

You miss parts of the post every time. Everyone suggesting the ban is well aware of the negatives that could happen. We have looked at both sides, do not be so ignorant to think we have not. All your friends who play kabal, do they really go to tournaments?? The main guy who started this thread is a major player at tournaments he is a kabal main. I think you can give the 2 time evo champ a little more credit than you are doing.

Who has worked harder to perfect their character, players not going to tournaments or people who have won tournaments? This thread by no means is saying to ban Kabal from your house.

Lastly everyone who is so against just trying this get off your high pony and try some things in life. Change is how communities make themselves better. This is in no way saying it is going to be permanent but to try it out a couple of times and see the results, because all you pessimistic people might just be surprised by the results.

Maybe we need GGA to come into this thread and shed some light on it. I think the are probably the most active MK group out there and could paint a better picture for everyone..............Oh wait, that right this was discussed with Perfect Legend and GGA 16 Bit.
