Cause in MK9 you could escape from JC's pressure if you knew when to counter poke. His force ball frame traps could be avoided and he could be punished with a full combo afterwards. His zoning was shit, while NW's zoning is one of the best in the game, his down pokes were punishable, while NW's are +f on block, JC didnt have full screen frame traps, while NW has. Those are some of the differences those two characters have.

I agree with this man. Bullet hell of soulfists and missiles along with catchy Morrigan theme and we have a perfect party hard. Fuck rushdown Wolvies and Zero loops, so-so-soulfist and hidden missiles is what everyone loves in Mahvel.IMO, zoning isn't really boring unless the specials are boring, ala Injustice. In Marvel or SF zoning can look incredible.

I can agree with this. Injustice is really fun but holy hell, the projectile game of some characters is just too stupid, too damaging, and too safe. Eye beams alone destroy most of the cast. Imagine if Ryu's projectiles had the same amount of dominance... lol. Throw out projectiles all day in Street Fighter 4 and see how well you fare... shit is waaaaay more punishable there. Again, Injustice is very fun, but it really needs some work if it intends to stick around in the long run.Might as well throw in my $0.02, seeing as I made this thread... The only issue I have is the lack of recovery on projectiles in this game largely. As an AE player, when I predict a fireball properly I jump over it and get a full combo punish. When I predict a fireball incorrectly, and jump over a fireball that didn't come, I get anti aired and put in a knockdown situation. This is the basic fundamental tradeoff for "projectile spam".
Meanwhile in IGAU, projectiles have little to no recovery and therefore players take no risk by throwing them out, so effectively they really can be "spammed". Not only this, but characters like supes, GL, DS certainly don't lack for tools up close once you manage to get up close you're not even inherently at an advantage. Bummer

Only reason i mentioned JC is because you did. The other option is push block and that again is relevant. If you play a character like DD for example who relies heavily on meter you will not push block.Look thats why i say you need to stop comparing it to mk9. When someone uses a string in injustice or a poke thats safe on block, you have OTHER options then in mk9 to counter it.

Nightwing has shit zoning compared to the true zoners in the game. Block a regular pound and neutral jump. If he pounds again you just got a free dash.
Nightwing gets OBLITERATED in staff stance by interactables. He can't throw any himself. Compare that to wonderwoman who can switch to sword stance with the SAME lockdown ability, and she still gets her jump arc and ability to throw shit. It's a fair trade.
Pushblock is the bane of Nightwings existance against zoners. He has to work his way in, only to get pushblocked out and have to go through the zoning again.

True, but the majority of NW players are spamming d1's and nothing else when in point black range, cause its very effective.
If he had mobility when in staff stance then he would be broken. Its like saying GL should have a better dash.

Dunno about which Greek players you are talking about, so i ll just leave that subject. I havent played against NW with the latest patch so you could be right. My point was pre-patch NW who was fucked up. I dont wanna reach the point to counter-pick just to win against NW man. Pre-patch NW won easily against DD. The problem wasnt his staff pound, it was his d1 spamming fest. DD's trait wasnt helping him at all and in general after the d1 spamming you had to worry about 6 options NW had after 4 d1's and DD didnt have almost any answer about them.It is 3f after the last patch. He can't get a guaranteed 1 anymore. Only by conditioning can he get free access to his strings. He has to now use d1 to stop an opponent from counter poking and use the d2 to get a free special buffer, or risk being poked by going for the 1. (there isn't enough cancel advantage on his d1 anymore to give him a free special)
The Greek players are spazzing about Nightwing...and I don't understand why. The only characters that truly struggle against Nightwing are those that want to get in and just maul him. He gets beaten by the strong zoners in the game.
Seriously, next time you are stuck full screen against a nightwing, block one pound (like 2% chip) nj, and then dash.
Doomsdays dash is fast as hell. If Green Arrow can do this, Doomsday should be able to do as well...factor in the EX armor and he is not going to be pounding you full screen for very long...
I don't want to see a power character bitch about Nightwing anymore. You literally get the whole stage to kill me with.
I am not sitting here trying to bullshit you man. I am telling you that Nightwing struggles against A) Good Zoners B) Power Characters on power centric stages C) Pushblocking (especially against zoners) D) Characters with air mobility or meaty jumps.
