BA wins over aquaman 6-4, outzones him, outdamages him and lots of new combos that ignore trait have been foudmn

But once aquaman hits black Adam he has such a hard time getting out. That's what I think keeps it even.

Does anybody know how to deal with Harley Quinn? Her pistol spam is too fast to get a move out. I also don't want to just duck the whole time because they don't mind spamming because of the meter they are gaining

Checking BA with ground trident is extremely risky in the neutral game, even if you think hes going to backdash. His ground trident is the only answer to backdash, while if he decides to jump back instead of backdash and you throw out ground trident, you're now in big trouble because he can easily MB divekick you on reaction for big dmg.

The only time a ground trident check is guarenteed is after F2 1+3 knockdown is what he is talking about Qwark28 You can't do anything except block, BAs wakeups whiff and backdash/jump gets punished.

I don't understand why it's called "just-frame ground trident", there is no way it's a just-frame lol

Yeah the timing is a little strict but you have a couple frame window at least. But isn't it just as risky for him to jump back?

I don't think so, in neutral at least. If you try to ground trident from even full screen, he can jump forward, MB dive kick, and ruin your day. Also, that jump forward you can't do much about, so he can just hop around and throw lightning bolts willy-nilly, to be honest.

At least now he can't check out with regular divekicks whenever anymore, so that helps at least.

Once you are in jump distance too, BA can contest you in the air any time he wants due to his 5f jump 1. Black Adam basically does everything that Aquaman has trouble with.

Not just on reaction, I'll agree that's unreasonable. But if I'm looking for it? Hell yeah. And after ftd at long range it's the only thing I have to look for.

BA has no reason to randomly do lightnings when youre looking for it. after FTD at long range you're getting hit by a guaranteed lightning check, weve been through all this before and dizzy had repeatedly said it in previous discussions about this MU

midscreen if you backdash youre getting hit for half life with divekick on a divekick check which is free as well

ex lightning will always check you and hit backdashes.

with normal lightning if its not a reversal it will hit you and you still cant jump it.

so youll risk eating 48% to get 21%, disregarding the fact that BA can just do a close divekick which recovers much faster and ends his jump prematurely which i guarantee you you wont punish on reaction


we can theory fight back and forth, point is, aquaman is always suspectible to something, when he has 1 option to punish BA can do 2 other things at least
