Yeah, but thunder itself doesn't. It isn't anything. Just the sound of splitting atmosphere.

What Raiden should have said is "thunderstorms are created by cumulonimbus clouds so dense that most of the sunlight will diffuse before making it through the cloud. So take that Sun Boy!"

This is EXACTLY what I had in mind when I thought about Raiden in MKX. He actually looks, moves and fights like a true Thunder God now. Love it! I'll have the biggest character crisis in this one though...

I have a character crisis in every MK game haha. In MK9 it was between Smoke, Cyrax and Ermac. I'm efficient with them all but Ermac always wins for me. If he's in MK9 I'm locked in regardless of tier. That's how I was with Yoshimitsu in SFxTK. Played him from day one before the patches just because I love his character.

That's essentially what I do. I specialize in one or two characters but I like to have backups and mess with other characters for fun. Even though I played a ton with Smoke, Cyrax and Kitana, I still consider myself an Ermac player.

With the variations I doubt I'll have time to master multiple characters.

YEah that weapon is straight twisted and seeing him stab Raiden with it and then ripping back out of him made me cringe and his X-Ray is just sick

Also, most weapons started as tools first. I could see this weapon being good at chopping down large quantities of harvested maize. The Mayans were all about corn and human sacrifice right? Can we agree that if the dead Mayans collectively had a Facebook that corn, human hearts, and appeasing the gods would be listed under interests in all caps?
