What does "salt" stand for here? What does it mean?

So salt is an expression we use when people rage or get upset about something. For example, whenever 16 Bit loses in tournament, he's super passionate so he gets really pissed off, that's what we call salty.

So, in this context, whenever people go on TYM and rant about characters being too good or too bad, that's what we are calling salt.
