SCR Announcement: WARNING MAY BE TOO HYPE FOR CHILDREN AND PREGNANT WOMEN

This is still bullshit.

Chef is at a clear disadvantage in this challenge. It's 100% fair game for him to point that out. As much as he's 'making excuses' for if he loses you're taking away props he deserves if he wins by claiming he can't point out that disadvantage. It works both ways.
He's putting his pride on the line here. If Bit wins you know he's gonna pop off, and chew into Chef for his option select(despite the fact that he forced the option select onto Chef)

And the fact that Chef often chooses to play different character is completely irrelevant. He's probably never used 5 characters in one tournament before, I know he's never used 9(barring 3am random select tournaments in Arizona and whatnot), and he certainly hasn't used that many in a set this length in many cases. And the point of playing multiple character is so you can play match ups your comfortable with , play characters you're enjoying at the time, or help you adapt to character/opponent you're struggling with, forcing him to cycle through them eliminates all of that. There's a huge difference between having a rotating 3 characters tournament ready and being forced to have at least 5, probably closer to 9, at one time ready to go for a money match.
And all of this stuff about "Chef chooses to play multiple characters" is nonsense to. He chooses to PLAY those characters, not to use them when he'd rather play a different match up.

This is all stupid. Chef is taking up the challenge even though it's slanted against him. You can't expect him to not use the option select that's there by design. If 16 Bit wants his full props he'll patch the challenge to fix the option select
I see. Chef's characters are good enough in his mind when he's trying to bully players he thinks he'll beat?

Neither do I. Coolwhip brought up DMS and I told him the comparison was ridiculous
Yeah it doesn't equate it. Challenging a guy who barely plays the game is worse. I brought it up because Chef is using an option select here, while blowing up those who use an option select by admitting they're not good (don't see much wrong with admitting it. In fact, I respect that).

@4x4lo8o Maybe in the interest of fairness, Chef can play the set with 16 Bit's terms, then play another one where he chooses whoever he wants?

As I said, the point is not to blow Chef up for what he originally pointed in this thread, but to avoid debacles if Chef were to lose. I mean both of you are already saying the odds are stacked against, so why not make them more balanced?

You could say Chef plays a FT10 but he has to use at least 5 characters.

Is that more fair? Because it'd probably happen anyway :)

The point is this is a guy who says GGA is lacking a bunch of top tiers and our results would be different if we had to deal with all those characters. So let's see them. I think it's something that's unique, never done before and will be a challenge for both players.

If @EGP Wonder_Chef does not think this is a fair challenge I'm open to other suggestions.

I personally think they should play it out as is. The format is interesting, light-hearted, and both players agreed to it. I like it. The debacle afterwards or option selects or whatever shouldn't matter, I just don't think Chef should already be getting called out for pointing out that the match isn't exactly an even test of skill(because it's not and that's not what it's supposed to be, although it would probably be more hype if we all pretended it were)

I really like the complete meta idea where you play in a gauntlet against all our specialists with each top tier character.

However I just want to see you vs chef.
