Most likely a dp(shoryuken)To see what I'm about to talk about look at this:

Did anyone else notice they completely forgot to show us a special attack in his Ronin variation? The light sabers intrigue me but check it out. What's this move Shirai Ryu Kan?? This variation looks sick already but the thought that there's' another special move just hanging out that didn't get mentioned excites me!
P.S. I took a screenshot but there's no image upload option.. Needs an image URL? I cannot even..
I think he's going to be a staple. Part of the new gen of fighters. Depending on how kung jin, jaqui briggs, and cassie cage are received I think they will too.I'm glad he was one of my favorite's before gameplay was shown of him. love seeing the hype he's getting, hopefully this lasts and he'll be in mk11
The one thing about this character, is that he'll be so popular while at the same time so rage inducing that I can see him being the poster boy of the "Nerf Hammer" movement.Guys we need to downplay like crazy to avoid the nerf bat
Thats what I'm fearing...The one thing about this character, is that he'll be so popular while at the same time so rage inducing that I can see him being the poster boy of the "Nerf Hammer" movement.
Even if competitive players can deal with him, and all his specials and normals were -25, he looks like a casual players nightmare lol.Thats what I'm fearing...
I mean we don't know little intricacies like frame data yet so time will tell.
That's for sure lol. But the whips aren't projectiles per say, so there is hope that the bitching won't reach DS or Sinestro levelsEven if competitive players can deal with him, and all his specials and normals were -25, he looks like a casual players nightmare lol.
At first I was thinking Shirai Ryu because of all the options, then Lasher because of range. But I literally just rewatched his gameplay reveal, and I have to say Ronin looks reallllllly dirty. Especially with his whips AND sword shenanigans, I think there will be some insane setups.Which variation of Takeda's are you guys excited to try first? Lasher looks the most up my alley.
Shirai Ryu, depending on how the MB Kunai work. If you can detonate them while in hit/blockstun then it will be too dirty not to play. Lasher looks amazing, but is definitely the most "honest" looking.Which variation of Takeda's are you guys excited to try first? Lasher looks the most up my alley.
Isn't the Kunai a universal move?Shirai Ryu, depending on how the MB Kunai work. If you can detonate them while in hit/blockstun then it will be too dirty not to play. Lasher looks amazing, but is definitely the most "honest" looking.
Nope. Only Shirai Ryu has it. Or so I thought...Isn't the Kunai a universal move?
I think the Kunai is universal. It's the last move he does before he says "now in Shirai Ryu he has" and goes on to talk about the spears and teleports.Nope. Only Shirai Ryu has it. Or so I thought...
Yup, though I just saw Ronin doesn't have have it (just rewatched the stream and paused on all of the move sets).I think the Kunai is universal. It's the last move he does before he says "now in Shirai Ryu he has" and goes on to talk about the spears and teleports.
Yea Ronin doesn't because some of his specials are replaced. He has the floor drop set up instead of it. Similar to how Kitana has fan toss in two variations, but boomerang in the third.Yup, though I just saw Ronin doesn't have have it (just rewatched the stream and paused on all of the move sets).
Right. The only reason I like the Kunai better (potentially) is that the sword drop requires a separate input to recover, meaning he almost certainly can't do it while in hit/block stun. But since the MB Kunai only requires that he release the button to detonate, that leads me to believe there is a solid chance he can do so while blocking or being combo'd, which would be insane. That might end up not being the case (since it would be incredibly powerful), but I've got a feeling it might work that way.Yea Ronin doesn't because some of his specials are replaced.
