Storm Lord Raiden can place lightning orbs behind the opponent? Very interesting, looking like one of the most unique variations of any character we've seen so far.

Fujin and Ermac for MK 11
Elder God omnipotent Raiden kills all of them ^ haha.

I'm fine with that interview, as long as everyone doesn't have TOO many universal specials per style it won't be broken. I like how they're limiting that to each style.

I disagree with Ed about Scorpion's teleport. I think they're missing an opportunity here to really balance MK. They're already on the right track with separating and partitioning some of the many tools that stronger characters have. But, I think as for Scorpion's teleport, maybe he could have one in each of the modes, but maybe they could tweak the properties, range, etc, of each teleport in each style in order to better balance an instant "get in" move, like his teleport.
I think I've seen a back teleport scorpion move (like the one in MKT) in one of the E3 videos but I'm not sure if it's for all variations or just for one though.

I hope they drastically change the characters that were shown at E3 because Raiden looks like he's on a completely different level from them. He makes their move sets a play styles look very mediocre. If all the characters in MKX are this awesome, we're in for one hell of a fighting game.

dont be fooled, a closer look reveals his stuff is very flashy but also very standard in terms of FG mechanics. his specials arent exceptionally fast, his normals neither, and they also dont cover much space.

I think this game is definitely going to see many character specialists rather than always seeing many mains with pocket characters. This issue I am having at the moment is how MU heavy these variations are going to be, but maybe they will be balanced enough to the point that each variation can be useful again any variation.

Imho the only one that looks mediocre is Ferra/Torr, but that may be mostly because we haven't seen any footage that does them justice.

Tools MKX character have looks pretty diverse so far, mostly. I hope NRS took notes from Cyborg debacle.

Not with a block button it won't.
Interaction of block button and teleport is overrated.
That's besides the point though. Point being, that happened in MK9, I don't see why you are so confident this time around.
