Comfortably Numb
Simple question;
Is there a dedicated run button?
Is there a dedicated run button?
That sucks.I'm pretty sure it's been stated a thousand times that to run in MKX you double tap forward and then press block.
too early to say it sucks... u never know u might like it...That sucks.
UMK3 is my religion and the control scheme for it is in my opinion, perfect. I'll give it a try but I doubt MKX will be more than a few weeks of visual awe.too early to say it sucks... u never know u might like it...
What?! Lol... wow.UMK3 is my religion and the control scheme for it is in my opinion, perfect. I'll give it a try but I doubt MKX will be more than a few weeks of visual awe.
I think it'll be the best fighting game I've ever played...but we all have opinionsUMK3 is my religion and the control scheme for it is in my opinion, perfect. I'll give it a try but I doubt MKX will be more than a few weeks of visual awe.
It'll be fine, I play 3D fighters and I don't accidentally run when trying to dash. Just dash, then block.oh how many times I'm going to run when I don't mean to by trying to dash block.
I foresee lots of frustration with this lol
The aspects of the game I learn first are probably the mechanics added to a game (like with MKX I will work with the interactive environments and the run button and etc.)
If you press block during dash, you run. That is how you run.I know it's in a thread somewhere, but while I'm here: I can't remember....
If you dash, then press block halfway through the dash animation... does it initiate run or will it simply start blocking immediatel after dash?
Very interesting... there is still hope!@MITDJT has a response in @Juggs thread here: http://testyourmight.com/threads/learning-a-new-fighter-interviews-with-veterans.48888/
His answer to question 2 REALLY intrigues me as a run button is mentioned. I make no assumptions, but this is the first and only time I've ever heard of it.

Ok. Couldn't remember if it was just the very initial frames of dash that canceled into run or if it was any time.If you press block during dash, you run. That is how you run.
For your broats.
He's been erroneously calling it a run button since he first played it back in december, but there is no run button.@MITDJT has a response in @Juggs thread here: http://testyourmight.com/threads/learning-a-new-fighter-interviews-with-veterans.48888/

Sounds more complicated then it needs to be. Who knows, it might blend very well with the Kombat.Ok. Couldn't remember if it was just the very initial frames of dash that canceled into run or if it was any time.
This is the only thing that concerns me, then. I know I'll want to complete a dash and block immediately but will run inadvertently. Gonna take practice.
