Dude, stop. Please tell the difference between a joke fatality and a gruesome one.

It's always better to shake things up than to formulate generic cardboard cutouts.
Maybe I do sound a little ignorant but you called that a joke? I call that childish. I am for sure Bo would be used less as a DLC characters out of all of them.

Kombat pack 2 HAS to have Shang Tsung in it. Complete the MK1 cast.

Shang Tsung:



UNIVERSAL: Skull, Up Skull, Ground Skull, Mysterious Magic( a low-hitting slide which can be MB'd to do an overhead juggle, can do this on block), and Soul Steal(Transforms Shang into the opponent, Grants enhanced damage on hit, and enhanced Soul Steal has a point of armor, and transformation lasts longer.)

MASTER OF STYLES: Gains various animal stances, Snake, Crane, Mantis, and Tiger. Each has different benefits such a armor, low profiling, low crush, counters, etc. Like Lei WuLong except Shang Tsung stays in the stance when he blocks. Loses ground Skull, and Up Skull. Soul Steal is transformed into a Command Grab.

SOUL-TAKER: Enhances Soul Steal. Soul Steal grants health on hit(5%), enhanced version stuns opponent for combo, grants more health on hit(10%)and drains opponent's meter. Normal throw grants 3% health on hit. Gains Anti-Air Soul Steal with a Hitbox similar to Raven's or Green Lantern's lift from Injustice.

SOULFIRE: Enhances Skull attacks, doing slightly more damage and hitting for two hits. Gains Hot Escape(Teleport, works like Freddy's from MK9).

I can't stress enough how true this is!!!!!!
But I would do different variations:
I would have the same universal attacks you mentioned, but make the soul steal function differently in each variant but also make it a command grab universally ( make it look like his normal grab in mk9)

1. Instead of Master of Styles I would have a variation called SHAPESHIFTER where Shang would finally be morphing into different characters. If the engine of the game doesn't allow him to morph into everyone, just let all his specials turn him into some character for a brief animation to perform the special: like turn into goro to do a grab, into Jacqui or into Kitana to do the projectiles, turn into Scorpion or Raiden to teleport, turn into Liu to do a long multihitting blockstring - each of this will be a move unique to Shang and look different from what said characters actually do in the game. And of course the soul steal in this variant would be crucial, I am thinking maybe It could have levels like Kotal's Sun Choke, so you start with just having universal moveset and after landing a soul steal grab some of you specials upgrade into the morphing specials of other characters. And the Soul steal grab itself extends into a chain throw after you have landed it. you can like lift them up and take part of their soul (mk9 style) on the level 1, on the level 2 after that you turn into Goro or Motaro to do some more grappling, and at level 3 you finish this chain of grabs by turning into Raiden or even Corrupted Shinnok for additional attack. And all specials change at every level. If it is possible you could start as an Old man Shang and become younger with each level)))

2. In the DEVOURER OF SOULS variation all skull and flame zoning attack are replaced with soul attacks. Both His soul steal grab and zoning soul attacks on hit cause some health regeneration (nothing big like 2-3%). But one of his Zoning soul attacks ( maybe even ex version only) and his command grab soul steal also grunt him Souls that fly around him the number of which can go up to 3. But they aren't like Ermac's souls)))) they work more like Quan's bat or even Sinestro's trait is a better example(as it has 3 shots as well) it makes his zoning ridiculous). Also in this variation he teleports turning into green soul-mist, like smoke.

3. I like the name SOULFIRE, so I will go with it, it will revolve around his projectiles. His zoning tools are again fire and skulls but they don't work like viable zoning tools but more like tools for creating set ups (like his skulls can travel slow, come from the sky and from the ground, the ground one can even work like timed explosives) and they now burn opponent for additional damage overtime, his soul steal command grab now works differently - it does more damage and Shang actually lifts the opponent up and burns him instead of stealing a part of his soul. This leaves the opponent scorched - in this state the fire attacks do more damage even on block (ala Tanya's purple dust) more damage overtime, and some of the set up tools like timed explosives in ground skulls or overhead skulls change their properties becoming actual lows, overheads or even unblockables. His teleport would became Freddy like in this variation))

Holy shit this week has just been filled with hype....first we get the mkx announcement....then the shadow jago trailer drops....and then this morning SAMURAI FUCKING JACK was announced for 2016 on adult swim...This is too much for me to handle!!!!

What? Calling someone (even referring to a bunch of pixels) a "[ban incoming]", isn't an opinion. It is a derogatory moniker.
So is the "N" word, but we have to learn how to have a thick skin and just ignore and keep it going. World's not going to end because of one simple insult. And... now back to our previously scheduled broadcast of BO RAI' CHO'S FART LEVELS!

What? Calling someone (even referring to a bunch of pixels) a "[ban incoming]", isn't an opinion. It is a derogatory moniker.
Context defines words; that's common sense. If you know he was not using the word as an insult towards gay people, but is using it as a synonym for "asshole" or "jerk" or "coward" or "feminine man" then why are you crying? It makes absolutely no sense.
 
If we get Noob Saibot, I hope they give him a grappling variation. With his shadow tackle and his teleport piledriver, plus his X Ray in MK9, he's a total grappler in spirit; he just needs some command grabs.
Honestly, never thought of Noob as being a grappler, but the idea is fantastic. Noob being a grappler would actually make me like the character (I already like the character, but have never liked his playstyle in any of the games)

I would love to see Shang come back.
There are a lot of possibilities, but most of the ones i would want are highly unlikely. He, however, is a hype as fuck possibility since I'm really curious as to how they would redesign him for this battlefield considering most of his old moveset has been given out already. Shinnok has his Steal (not a Morph, but close enough) and shades of his Ground Skulls, and Tremor has the equivalent of his Up Skulls and gimmicks really close his F4~Close Skull setups with Stone Shatter (especially in Crystalline).
