Don't care, I just want a new MK. Not superhero flavor of the month pretend we were lifelong fans of DC because we saw Batman vs Robin and The Animated Series as a child nonsense.
Seriously no intractables in any form in a NRS fighting game again. As the other guy said, stage transitions is fine.
A robust DLC gems feature would be great........

I want another Injustice but I agree with you about the cartoon fans who wanted/want to turn Injustice into a Teen Titans game.
 
All I want is for the next game to support a diversity of playstyles- I'm less worried about dominant characters, and more worried about dominant strategies.

Characters that can fight from afar and bruise you up close have suffoccated the specialist characters of this game- discouraging a diversity of playstyles.

Just to give you an idea:

"Well rounded characters": Green Lantern, Batman, Superman, Black Adam, Aquaman

Zoners used to be strong in this game, but they were either nerfed off or had to deal with the DLC teleport bullcrap.

Then the rush-down heavy characters were killed when they got zoned out to oblivion.

What remained were those well-rounded characters.

That's all I ask, not for a specific character, or better use of interactibles, less-safe wakeups, or character-specific buffs/nerfs. I just want a balanced meta-game.

i forgot to mention, another thing i disagree with is the whole plus and minus double digits shit. like serious wtf. sometimes after blocking certain moves i feel like my stick broke because i blocked some move thats plus 8 billion. it just doesn't feel right and its probably why the game kinda feels clunky to some people.

also i hate how it discourages down/back so much and your inputs always get fucked up if you're trying to d2 a jump in and you're holding down back. im sorry but i learned fighting games with down/back being very important. holding down to block low is just weird, especially when down/back and down/neutral will work but down/forward wont.


relating to both things, i hate so much when im blocking low and try to do a f3 with DS to force frame advantage after blocking and i get sword flip and i dont even hit down, i go directly from down/back to forward. this is total horseshit. so when i want to be at plus 8 billion im at negative 8 billion.
changing to alternate controls will eliminate most of your issues.

killer frost is the only character with a safe invincible wake up. have none of this, safe/fast wake ups shouldn't be invincible, invincible wake ups shouldn't be safe, etc

More characters with less humans that aren't super powered. I'll be happy with these characters :p

HEROES: Blue Beetle, Dr. Fate, Static

Villains: Scarecrow(!!), Darkseid, Atrocitus, Larfleeze

For the last casual thing MORE VISUAL APPEAL. This goes for stages, designs, and MOVES OH GOD THE MOVES. Why are the Lanterns some of the most visually unappealing characters when they have unlimited potential with constructs? Why do we have clone stages of day/night and not fucking Apokolips or Oa? Why does the game feel so rigid for some characters?

As far as the game itself goes, it needs better walk speeds. Like, I'm not even kidding it's so obnoxious when I walk like a slug and Wonder Woman gets to iaDG in my face. There shouldn't be an acceleration; that's my biggest gripe. Generally I'd say small walk speed improvements after that, but selectively.

All wakeup attacks must be punishable by everyone, yet still easy to do.

Heavy depth in characters like Zod, and Zatanna. Here you will be rewarded not in bullshit strings but in spending time and effort into a character.

More emphasis on making more matchups 5-5 to 6-4 matchups instead of having 7-3 to 8-2 matchups

Of course no amount of testing will be comparable to the millions of people getting their hands on the game and finding character exploits, so there needs to be a test playlist where NRS can change and tinker with stuff and the community can help and try and find the exploits before it goes in the general public hands.

I was never a believer in it before, but after having more experience with the game, i would def prefer faster walkspeeds. Umm yeah the Down back thing is a huge bitch, especially for wonder woman.

And better villains, the most of the villains side characters are like "why did you want to put these people in? and who the fuck is killer frost?"

I fail to see why. I can never get behind something, that to me is just a pointless gimmick that adds a pointless level of depth when it could just rely on what people actually want, good solid fighting.

Replace weapon/hazard style interactibles with more combo extension interactibles that function akin to the helicopter and other midscreen interactibles do.
  • Faster Walk Speeds
  • Spend meter for a dodge/roll and retool abilities and frame data accordingly on movesets to accomodate this addition to the meta
  • More Cast of course
  • Color options on alts we unlock. It'd be doable by setting up a slide controller for a layer set to use a blend mode of a color over each segmented area of a UV map. Hardest [art is setting up the edit mode and the controllers per character so Im not certain if its too much work to put in the menu option or not.
  • Youtube upload from console
The rest are just Unlockable ideas and more side mode stuff thats cheap and fun to extend gameplay.

  • Unlockable comic books to read starring characters in the game
  • An equal number of skins for the whole cast or at least a minimal of 4-6 per
  • Unlockable texture options for characters like in the PS3 Katamari game. (Go with regular, or cell shaded, or comic book deep shadowed or...etc)
  • Remove the Star Labs 3 star system from minigames and unlocking content...no one wants to even bother playing them more than once
  • Incorporate a Heroes and Heralds style mode where you unlock trading cards that are equippable and unlock new abilities. Give it a local/online set of options and give folks endless sandbox fun to mess around in once they get bored (great draw for casuals)
  • Incorporate an assist mode of Tag play where you can select a character to act as an assist/tag partner in matches. Again not a mode to take serious for balance just incorporate it for casual replay...if you want to take it serious thats a whole game unto itself in how much would need balancing.
  • Put in some more minigames like Flashcards or Pinball and learn to use a "deathdot" style of hitbox on your shmup minigames...honestly you could contact the indie developer n0rtygames to get a passable dodonpachi bullethell design for a sidegame and just slap green lanterns and space stuff in it. No backgrounds art needed and minimal everything else while actually being a fun shmup unlike the really rough enormous hitbox handicapped ones that made it in. Seriously...I import bullethells from Cave and score attack them going for 1cc runs. The shmups in Injustice are bad by any definition of shmup. Just contact some of the really amazing indie guys who already have stuff setup to plug assets into and you could have something really amazing for next to no effort on your part.
  • Incorporate a trivia game side game like Buzz
  • Incorporate a "Secret Base" for players to customize with unlockable models and stuff they earn or buy using points in game. This is akin to the trophy gallery in Smash Bros
  • Unlockable character history, bio, and origin stories for the whole cast

depth in fighting games is never pointless.
That's not what I said. Tekken, SF and MK work fine without having interactable objects as a cheap way to add depth.
Either way we both have a difference of opinion on this, there's reasons for them and reasons not to have them. I would prefer them not to have them in fighting games.

He's popular, but I wouldn't say he breaks top 5. But yeah, you definitely can't drop him, unless they went for a different, more Robin version.

Judging the people I encounter online in NRS games, that tool would be used for cowards to avoid good players. Most people who play MK9 or Injustice avoid competition as much as possible. Noob hunting would only be easier, and that shit doesn't sound cool to me at all.
