Is there any way to have better control than to just point and click? I can't stand it when I'm fighting 30 enemies and my dickhead character is trying to pick up items because mouseclick = attack, movement, pickup item, etc
You can hold down the left mouse key to attack in a combat situation, and the game will automatically attack the nearest thing. If you hold your mouse over treasure it wont pick up the treasure. Once there's only 1 or 2 bad guys left though you need to start clicking again because i find that the auto-attack deactivates and you just walk around in circles.
You can also hold down the shift key, and you'll attack in whatever direction you click. This is especially good if you are a ranged character and don't want to run into the middle of the fight.
Yeah, WADS and binds really should've been introduced for D3. The clicking is extremely aged at this point. I realize that it should've changed Diablo, but I think everyone would've appreciated that.
Thanks that should make it a bit more bearable. I agree, they could have at least allowed players to use a different config. I'm sure it would have made the players that use it OP and the rest would have to convert and they didn't want that.
Playing D3 and enjoying it. I have 3 different classes started already. Once I beat the game on Inferno then it is off to beat the game on Hardcore mode.
I've always hated the damn clicking, man. Always. Great games but ugh...repetitive much? I raided quite a bit in WoW and played the shit out of that. Sure, I had my left hand on WADS constantly, and when I played my Rogue I constantly mashed 7 8 9 and a few other binds to apply poisons and potions but it really wasn't that annoying in retrospect.
Going to be getting this game soon. I actually already have it i'm just waiting on my graphics card. I will most likely be using the Demon Hunter (Male). If not then perhaps witch doctor. I'm really looking forward to playing i loved D2 and this looks absolutely incredible.
Yea I heard Diablo 3 replay is only 6 years since you can't adjust your stats, pfff what a waste.... Getting a radiant star gem should take a while...
The best gem that can drop is a perfect, you will need roughly 20,000 perfect gems to make a radiant star gem or so I've heard. Maybe better drops in inferno? Good thing though is that they made gems interchangeable. I love this game and I love that my girl is good at it because the only game she can play is cooking mama. The games mechanics of how things function are just so much better. I love how you can constantly change your skills, it definitely makes the game much more enjoyable. Yes there are the extreme people that LOVE to be punished hard for mistakes and make a new character if they chose the wrong skill or put points in the wrong spot. Why would anyone complain about having the option of having all the skills available and having fun trying things out? This game is flat out fun and if it only lasted me a week it would have been worth the $60. Every class is very fun to play and you have multiple difficulties to play that will give you better drops and if you seriously want to play forever and be punished play it on hardcore where if you die your guy is dead forever. I've played almost all of act 1 with every class and let's just say I have no problem replaying act 1 15 more times if not more.
Holy shit. Im just got onto Act 2 and so far im loving this. They even...wait no im going to put a spoiler around this. It might spoil a future part of the game so be warned
I never played diablo 1, but there are even easter egg items that can be found at random in certain areas. If you collect them all you unlock the unicorn level. One of the items is a black mushroom which I read pays tribute to diablo 1.
I'm not clicking on the spoiler, but now I can't wait until I get to ACT 2. I just beat the skeleton king and now I have to fight the goat men. How much more until I'm done with act 1 guys? On a different note, seems that the servers are getting better each day. Today I didn't get kicked off once and had just a little lag here and there.
Lag is definately gone from my end. You're about 1/3 or 1/4 of the way done Act 1. Its a loooong game.
I raided in vanilla with my rogue. 111112111113111114111112111113111114 etc I miss those days. Tapatalk, helping me procrastinate.
