Why would you doubt that one of the most iconic and easily recognizable MK characters wouldn't be DLC if they aren't in the game?

Companies plan DLC around what will sell, and Baraka is extremely popular when it comes to MK characters. He's not in the ninja's levels of popularity, but he's in that second tier with Liu Kang, Kitana, Raiden, Jax, Mileena, and Goro.

I just hope they do away with the stupid ass metal effects on his claws. That shit is retractable bones, it doesn't make sense any other way even for MK.

Hasn't it always been metal though? I mean they clearly shine in the renders of Deception at least.

blade spark, blade swipe and blade fury(chop chop) from mk2,
blade charge and blade spin from later games,
in konquest mode you find "barakas blade"
baraka literally says "my blade will find your heart"
etc etc etc

Well he said no character reveal "with the upcoming stream". Can still mean the character gonna be revealed via trailer 1 or 2 days before.

seems like they'll have to say something about story mode or at least show more concept art to fill an hour and even then they might have to show all the confirmed characters brutalities.

Maybe the next trailer will be story-centric and feature like 3-4 yet to be seen characters.
